Always was Duncan Lite, and always will be.
Duncan lite? I wouldn't say that...Minnesota was just inept at putting talent around him. The guy would have a lot more rings if he would have Minnesota sooner.

He can still do a job on the floor I think. Dude will get a vet minimum in San Antonio I think, he still wants more rings and there's no way he would join Miami.

Doesn't Tim hate the guy though? He made some unsavory comments about Duncan's mom apparently.

That Celtics team was an overall failure, that team was prime to win at least 2-3 championships.

LOL at the thought of Garnett passing up $12 million to play 20 minutes a night in the soft eastern conference.

It's guaranteed already. He doesn't have to play to get it. The Nets could contest it, but that usually only leads to a buyout-like situation where the two parties agree to a deal to split the money. That's essentially what the Spurs did with McDyess in 2011.
Why would he split the money? Unless he goes to TNT his earning days are over after next season.

It's legally ambiguous. As far as the CBA is concerned, Garnett's money is guaranteed no matter what happens. But in the real world, he can be sued for not rendering services for which he is being paid. So to avoid getting into a court battle over which interpretation should be followed, teams and retiring players agree to a buyout before the retirement officially goes through. So essentially, the player agrees to give back some money for a guarantee that the team won't sue.

KG is old but he can still do a job on the court imho, if he joins the spurs he will be our 2nd best big in our rotation.

Great player in his prime and very passionate! I liked that part of his game. I thought he was an ass and a jerk alot of times though especially after he got to Boston and got that le! He showed alot of passion for the game though and I was a huge fan of his on Minny.

Sheed got sick of this league and retired prematurely in 010 and said he is done with it, if Perkins did not get hurt they win that le! They had that game 7 man!

It was a small robbery, but thats the NBA. Lakers got robbed against them in game 2 of the 2008 finals, only a Korean would be too blind to see that. It's even steven for all I'm concerned. It's a fixed league though, I really wish it wasnt so.

if Garnett retires, he doesn't get the money... if he then un-retires, the nets would have his rights for 1 year 12 million
