I wouldn't worry about what the Portland fans say about our river...The
harbor in Portland is a EPA super fund site......Guess the don't eat fish from it also.......

The Trinity river that runs thru downtown Dallas is waste water.. Runs near the AA arena.
would Mark Cuban take a swim or drink the water from it......Guess he doesn't stay at any of
the hotels in Dallas that are on the river? How is the food at restaurants on the river Mark?......

I see the Trinity River a bunch going downtown, and yeah it looks way dirty but not as dirty as the Riverwalk. Some parts of it are actually really clean depending on where you see it.

Same with the SA River. Go by Brackenridge and the water is clear there. Its mostly rock bed so there isn't a lot of dirt in the water.

They don't advertise the Trinity River like San Antonio advertises the Riverwalk as a sight seeing attraction.

I don't understand the criticism of the riverwalk as dirty tbh...It's a river fed by creeks. Rivers carry mud. The part that flows through downtown may be artificial but it's all fed by natural sources. Expecting naturally sourced water to be pristine is ludicrous, especially in the middle of a big city.

the river is also not very deep, maybe 4-5 feet in most sections downtown. It's just shallow and the bed is mud, makes it look brown/green. The water is actually pretty clean, I've seen someone scoop a glass of it and it's clear.
