I don't see how any business could discriminate against anyone because of their size. Lawyers would have a field day with that. I see the guy being able to play, as the sports world tries to figure out a way to not let this happen again.

Yao Ming is 7'6"--- you really couldn't be much bigger than that and still have any kind of athletic ability. , Yao barely had any and he required extensive conditioning, much more than any other athlete. The human frame just isn't designed to bear that kind of weight---that's why those giant guys in those pics have crutches; the body just collapses on itself.
There have been a few guys in the rasslin' business well over seven feet and some over 400 pounds who were actually athletic.

I post on some other sites and in the years I've been doing this a ton of sites, my interests being football, track, rassling, blues, music in general, sci fi. I have never been anywhere where so many are sooooo wrapped up in anything having to do with bowel movements and body parts. It really is strange, I guess it's a Texas thing.
