I guarantee you that det Game 6 loss hurts millions of Spur Fans more than the 2013 Lakers' trainwreck of a season. Golden Opportunity. Wasted.

Then Duncan missed a 5-foot bunny in game 7. was Kwaneesque. It will up his head worst than Stack5 did.

Manu played a major role in the only blemish on your Finals resume too. He may end up retiring after those games 6&7 game changing gaffes.

TP may be susceptible to hammie tears the rest of his career. This will negate his speed advantage in a major way. Maybe not, but it will be on his mind.

Your big 3 were thisclose to getting it done. This may be the end of the Spurs as we know it.
Of course it does. But it still wasn't the biggest failure in NBA history. You can rest easy that I'm not putting that failure on your players, but on your front office, whose idiotic decisions led to perhaps the most beloved player in Lakers history suffering a career altering injury, which actually might hurt those fanatics on Kobesground much more than game 6 hurt us.

In the same manner, Popovich failed us. Sits the starters at the beginning of the 4th (it's a Finals close out game, you run your best players into the ground if need be). Spurs 10 point lead cut to 3 in the blink of an eye. Diaw, who was playing the best defense on James in the game, hardly plays in the 4th. Lebron scores 16 points in the period. Doesn't put his best FT line-up on the floor in the closing moments. Of course the only open player off the inbound is Leonard, who was shooting 66% from the line. Pulls his best rebounder in the final possessions. Heat predictably get two offense rebounds. Doesn't intentionally foul to put the Heat on the line, so it forces them to have to make and miss a FT and get the offense rebound, because, as he said, "We don't do that."

In reality, I hate putting on the players. We all played sports. Sometimes our shots don't fall. Sometimes we swing and miss. Sometimes the opposing player just makes the better play. But what is always controllable is the coach putting his team in the best position to win, which Popovich never did from the start of the 4th.

It's only sports, so I'm not going to over dramatize it and say he should "take it to the grave," but he should feel very disappointed in himself.

The way spurs fans lambaste Pop kind of reminds me of the 2010 playoffs following our defeat to the spurs. fans excoriated Carlisle like he was the reason we lost, he made some questionable decisions during the series and he should take some responsibility for the loss but I believed, and still believe that the coach knows his team better than we do.

Pop ain't an idiot, but the players were not good enough to excecute his orders, and that's why you can't count on kinds to win you the championship. spurs could've fouled Bosh and sent him to the FT-line instead of allowing him to pass the ball out for a 3, but it could've also given him a "and 1" chance to tie the game straight away. At least hitting a 3 should be much harder than making a layup + a free throw. And no one guarantees you that you would've grabbed the FT Bosh or Allen inentionally missed.

8 million dollars a year for a head coach? Unless you're Phil Jackson, shut the up and sit down. Rivers is not even worth 3 million a year.

So in other words, you think Doc's gonna pull a Kirby?
    No, but CP3 might:

He looked like Shaq did before the 2004 season when he was told 2x championship coach Rudy T was coming to coach the Lakers - right before he left anyway.

PM Kori. I'm sure she'll change your screen name to Heat Nation. No questions asked.

K - not even salty son. Just stating the obvious. Before Thibbs, Doc was a coach. With him he was 1-1 in the Finals. When Thibbs left him he was a coach again:

    2010-2011 (56-26), 2nd round KO
2011-2012 (39-27), ass kicked in ECF
    2012-2013 (41-40), 1st round ass reaming

"3rd best coach in the league!"

This post shows just how biased you are, son. "Ass kicked in ECF"? We were tied with the Heat at the beginning of the 4th quarter of Game 7. And frankly, no one expected the Cs to get out of the 2nd round that year.

And I blame 2010/11 on Ainge, not Doc. It was Ainge who thought that Shaq would hold up an entire season, trading Perkins which sucked at the time (and still kinda sucks, lol Green) and traded away the two young backup C's. When your starting C is Jermaine O'Neal, you probably aren't winning anything.

Game 6 represents the biggest failure in sports history. 13-point lead. HOF coach. 3-HOF players with a decade of experience playing together. Close out game. Couldn't finish.

True or False? You already know what I think.
False, and if you really think that you're an idiot. , the Patriots losing to the Giants in their 18-1 year was a bigger failure.

Stern's doing you a solid man, so stop complaining.
I know that, but I have given up hope on the C's this season, and would rather have Pierce/KG go to a location where they can win. Especially after mother ing Ray Allen got a ring this year.

They lost game 5 because of the Refs and CP3 messing up though, if not they might be in the WCF right now. They surely were better without VINNY!

I don't regret the trade one bit, Vinny was an even worse version of McFail who is only being propped up on this site because of the "black coach" schtick.... anyone who actually watched his teams in Chicago and LA saw a woefully unprepared team with no offensive system beyond isos, a defensive system that literally changed for no reason every game, the worst inbounds plays imaginable, and poor situational awareness (not knowing when to take a timeout, clueless about subs utions and managing minutes)....

The real reasons we lost this series were the roster (absolutely no small forwards for the millionth consecutive year; Big Baby turned out to be a big disappointment, leaving us with no backup bigs worthy of minutes in the playoffs), the "Sixth Man of the Year" chucking his way to a much-too-high usage rate despite being useless against playoff defenses, and the $107 million choke artist pulling his usual in the playoffs, not coaching.... in spite of that, the ball movement this year was a big step up from last year's iso-hero crap, it was nice having actual plays to run coming out of a timeout, and Blake took a major step forward this season after two years of stagnation under VDN....

CP3 throwing the ball around like an idiot in the last minute of the game? Can't blame coaching for the stupid TO's he made, especially the last one.

101-88 with 4 minutes to go. Obviously they couldn't play defense.
