Evidently the Heat are the first team in the history of the playoffs to eliminate a team that swept them in the regular season.

"What are the chances of that happening twice in a month?"

    http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:10941014

    ...scary , imo.

Every time we faced them but for 1 we had injuries and scrambled lineups. That one game we were handling them until Kawhi was injured. That stat doesn't mean . How many times have the 1-2 teams met up in this situation? Probably not ever. That means nothing.

Means nothing. Its going to be a long series. Spurs have HC. I like their chances as long as Parker is healthy.

These types of stats don't mean anything, tbh..especially in today's age, where teams like the Heat and Spurs wait until the playoffs(and in Miami's case, when their backs are against the wall) to take it to another level..

I disagree with PJ on Parker being more important for Spurs than Ibaka for Thunder. Spurs developed system, that still could work without Parker being 100%. Without Ibaka Thunder wont have post presence and will be forced to play smallball all the time.

Without Parker we lose in the 1st round to the Mavs. Parker is essential. Yesterday showed Adams can pick up lots of slack from Ibaka

At least Ibaka is original and waves his finger after he blocks a shot though. No one has ever done that before.

Granted it was the first round but I do remember the hawks sweeping the Hornets during the 97-98 season and then losing in the first round to the Hornets.

Didn't the Cavs sweep the Spurs in the 06-07 RS? Maybe he means a 4-0 sweep.

The Spurs were also once 4-0 in Finals and undefeated in the Duncan era after a 3-2 series lead tbh....

Idk if the finals count, but in 2007 the Cavs beat the Spurs in both regular season games and were then swept in the finals.

The chances it happens twice isn't applicable anymore because the Heat have already beaten the Nets. It only needs to happen once now.

It's not like the Spurs would have had a better chance against the Thunder if the Nets had somehow taken out the Heat.

It was early in the season and I remember Lebron doing Tim a facial with all the flashy moves for the photographers, spoiled brat.

Yes they did; was going to post just that observation. Regardless, it's a meaningless stat.

In 2011, the Bulls swept the Heat in the regular season. That year in the playoffs the Heat backdoor swept them and won 4-1.

Not a big fan of any stat trying to use regular season results to predict playoff results tbh.

You realize the "system" requires a strong ball handler who can routinely get into the paint, right? Patty can't do that. He's more of a mid range jumper coming off screens or taking 3s off "the elevator" play. Manu can't do it either.

We had 10 in a row versus Dallas and they took it to 7 games. I won't put too much into this stat.

We busted every one of those stats last year. We won Game 1, 3, and 5 and had a 5 point lead with 28 seconds left (like a 98% chance of winning).

Yeah. People don't really understand how probability works.
