Good, we might be able to make another run next year.
Yes, good decision. He might have played had the Spurs lost in the First Round (and even then, I'm not sure) but with the Spurs' success, he will have to rest this summer.
As a Frenchie, I don't mind Parker playing in the summer to win a very very meaningful gold medal, on the contrary, I'm elated. But even me am able to see he needs to rest at least a summer. The guy is gassed - I still hope and think he has enough in the tank for a Championship run, but not much more.
About time TP.
Common sense FTW.
Good. FIBA basketball's a joke.
I thought it was your wifes s
Good. Hopefully Manu elects to do the same.
Manu would probably play, because he's 37 years old unlike TP.
Should have done it years ago.
Of the 3 main international events (Euro, World Cup and Olympics), the World Cup is certainly the least interesting of all for Parker & France. The Euro is winnable (as they proved last year) and the Olympics are just special, most athletes dream to go there. But the World Cup? There's not much to expect from this tournament for a team like France (of course hopefully I'm wrong but I just don't see it).
Two years and one le shot too late....

No you're right. I might add that had Team France won any meaningful tournament before, he might have rested earlier. Now that he has his Gold Medal, he's more interested in playing for the next Euro that's key for an Olympic berth. He always said he would retire from Les Bleus after the Rio 2016 Olympics, so of course he wants to play then. The World Championship will be the opportunity for Batum to become the leader he wants to be, maybe with Captain Diaw to bring his great experience. Without Parker, Les Bleus still have a puncher's chance (I think about Ajinça, Gélabale, etc). I'm OK with that.
