Russia's military doctrine is out of date, their planes still focus on dogfighting in an era where stealth and long range have proven time & time again to be the superior method of aerial combat. Their tanks are as outdated as the US tanks, but far less in quan y while not seeing a sliver of the combat as the Abrams. Their toops have issues with some euro-muslim rebels, they aren't "tough" like perhaps a royal marine.
Still, no country is capable of conquering another formidable country today unless it were a total dog-pile like the entire EU forming against England. No, Russia has no real advantages over the US unless it was on Russian terms, wherein it'd still be a uphill battle for the ruskies. They weren't great troops in WW1, WW2 or the cold war and aren't good now.
Also, it's quite silly to rule out the US navy. Fielding ten times the aircraft carriers with nearly 1000 planes is an astronomical advantage over a country which can field a tenth of the modernized planes.
