league fixing games has been an open secret since fat old son of a Stern first took office imho. Cuban was stupid because he wasted his money to investigate what is flat out plain and obvious tbh.

Mavs got robbed in that series, just like Sacramento in 2002, Spurs in 2012. The FBI guy would know, they were the ones who busted Donaghy, the NBA considered him an above average ref.

There's always a reason outside of officiating for losing a game. If you shoot 98%, you could have shot 100%. If the other team gets 50FTs and your team gets 12, they were more aggressive going into the paint, even though your team outscored them in the paint by a factor of 4. If the fouls are balanced at the end of the game, that's all that really matters. So what if the refs save theirs for the decisive moments in the game instead of the 1st and 2nd quarters when you're up 15pts.

The truth is that the refs aren't the only reason for losing, but they control the tempo of the offense and the aggressiveness of the defense by how they call fouls. SA was getting called for hand check fouls while the Thunder were getting away with whacking people in the paint because the refs were calling it lose on that end. Maybe they saw it was going to be a blowout and were more interested in a spread, who knows. It's glaringly obvious though that they skew the 50/50 calls toward one team in a series.
How about up 13 or so late in the game 3 which would have ended this series? They blew that game and then lost three more in a row after that. If they only win that game 3 they win it all, can't blame the refs for that collapse.
