The media has touched on the idea, but I think the talk is getting closer now. Leonard has been a beast this year, and has improved his game from last year... something I really didn't think he was going to do at the beginning of the year with his slow start.

We are 52-11 with him or something like that and 9-8 without him.. Let that sink in.

Not only that, but he's a long , tbh.. Always steps up in the playoffs. I feel like that's when he plays his best game actually...

He isn't talked about like Paul George because he's the fourth option at the end of a game, third on the starters.. But I think it's clear he's better than Parsons, Batum, etc. and right there with George. He will average close to twenty when Manu, Timmy, and Pop leave.

Sure Timmy, Tony and Manu are our catalysts.. but I think Kawhi is the backbone. Without him are ed..

He really has become the most important piece to our "puzzle" these past few seasons.

Think about the Finals last year, he outplayed everyone in black and silver not named Duncan.

I guess it doesn't really matter because even the Big 3 aren't necessarily the alpha dogs on any given night. But for this idea to advance in the media, Lawhi would have to get some recognition at the national level, such as an All-Star selection, or at least All-Defensive (which he deserves). Right now his resume is empty, which means he won't be considered a marquee player by the media just yet.

KL is a force, no doubt, and he's been getting better and better. We'll be in good hands in the inevitable "post Big 3" era.

He's a mirror image personality-wise as Robinson and Duncan... must be fate.

I enjoy Parker and Manu just as much as any other American Spurs fan, but they're far from catalysts. They either help the Spurs a ton or sink them in quicksand. Thankfully they both played fantastic last night.

I'd go as far as saying Kawhi has been the MVP for the Spurs since the Portland series started. He's averaged 17 points, 7 boards, 3 steals, .534% shooting, all in less than 32 minutes. The stats don't even mention all the little things he does, or his energy on the perimeter, or the fact he's always guarding the opposing team's best wing.

If the Spurs somehow win the championship playing more or less at their current level, I'd say Kawhi deserves Finals MVP..

Not sure how you can annoint anybody MVP for the finals when the games haven't even been played yet. If the Spurs should win the le, the MVP can be anyone of our 6-7 rotation players. Danny Green was almost MVP of the finals.

True. I was just using it as an analogy, not saying Leonard is the best player on the Spurs nor that the championship is guaranteed. For all I know the Spurs still lose to OKC.

Leonard has been the MVP of the Spurs since the Portland series, is what I'm trying to say.

There is only one Big Four: Bruce, Tim, Tony, and Manu Prime.

We now have The Big Three: Tim, Tony, and Leonard.

Not a Big 4... Leonard became apart of the big 3 the moment he got drafted... After Manu couldn't play 20 games in the 2011 season
