Senators write FBI over Dinesh D’Souza case

Four Republican senators have sent FBI Director James Comey a letter regarding conservative author and political commentator Dinesh D’Souza, who was indicted for campaign finance fraud last month.
In the letter, Sens. Charles Grassley, Jeff Sessions, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee quote Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz as saying, “I can’t help but think that [D’Souza’s] politics have something to do with it. … It smacks of selective prosecution.”
    what gang of assholes.

campaign donation records and incriminating audio tape indicate that the right-leaning activist knew full well that he was breaking the law and was even planning ahead of time what he would do if he got caught.

A former aide to the Reagan White House and author of The Roots of Obama’s Rage, D’Souza is charged with using straw donors to illegally contribute $20,000 to the U.S. Senate campaign of Wendy Long, a former school friend of D’Souza’s who unsuccessfully ran against Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) in 2012.

Interesting the way some of the creationist quacks end up in trouble with the law, and doing stupid things.

    Faith is poisonous, IMO.

Playboy: Has no religion, in your estimation, ever offered anything of constructive value to human life?
Ayn Rand: Qua religion, no - in the sense of blind belief, belief unsupported by, or contrary to, the facts of reality and the conclusions of reason. Faith, as such, is extremely detrimental to human life: it is the negation of reason.

faith and reason aren't necessarily mutually exclusive. The problem is when faith trumps reason, facts. Studies have shown positions of faith, emotion do not change when challenged by facts, esp when they are based on religion.

So was Slick Willie's blow job

    TB
If it had been you on the other end of the telephone, would it have been important to know how much your phone call rated. I will have to say old slick was a multi-tasker. But sloppy when it came to blue dresses.

Of course the swimmer, Teddy, had a hard time driving over bridges with women other than his wife.

Faith is an abdication of reason. It is believing in something despite the fact that you have no good reason to.
