He scored 15 tonight against Radnicki in just 14 minutes he played. But he got also fouled out in that time.

Well... at least he has that talent thing going on for him![]()
Programming note: Partizan play their last Euroleague game for this season in about 6 hours from now.
The opponent features some recognizable faces with Pops Mensah Bonsu, Malik Hairston and Carlos Arroyo.
Solid game for him: 11 pts/3 3pters/2 rebs/3 asts (including a nifty behind the back pass in transition).

Thanks jyra. Here's the box, too: http://www.euroleague.net/main/resul...2013#!boxscore
I don't remember him having foul problems in the past, but he had 5 fouls this game and fouled out of the last game. Is he just adjusting to being back or will this be an ongoing problem for him?
He has only played 5 games this season and averages 3.4 fouls/game in just 21.4 minutes. That means that per 36 minutes he is commiting 5.7 fouls/game which is Ian Mahinmi (6 fouls/per 36) territory.
These are his stats for past seasons: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/...ns-6320/stats/
You can see that he has always been a quite foul prone but never quite as bad as he is now. So you would think that those foul numbers will go down a bit.
I wonder if one cause for his high foul rate is being played both as SF and PF. Making that ingame transition from guarding the perimeter to defending paint is very difficult, especially for a skinny guy like him.
Definitely makes you appreciate a guy like Kawhi who can defend really well without fouling too much even more.

If he plays for the Spurs, he shouldn't have to defend the paint. I think he will only play PF when the opposing team goes small/plays a stretch 4, so he would still be defending the perimeter.
Copying myself from antoher thread, but it applies to Bertans too:
If anyone is interested in watching him play, there is a final four game of adriatic league on Friday, 8 pm local time (1 pm SA time). Winner goes to the final, it's gonna be interesting to see him play in a big game.
Bertans team will be up against a team with Nurkic at center. Nurkic is expected to get drafted in the late lottery to early 20's..They just showed rc at courtside

I really don't like Partizan playing zone defense for long stretches that's not going to help Bertans develop on that end.
Partizen playing like the spurs: bad defense, alot of turnovers, cannot hit free throws. Nurkic is one mean dude and just about broke Bertans nose with an elbow. Throwing around Bertans whenever they are matched up. Nurkic trying to keep up with Bertans on offense is a whole different matter, Nurkic to bench with 3 fouls in 1st half..
Nurkic has always had problems with personal fouls..
So how is Bertrans doing on offense and with regards to Nurkic do you think we should draft him?
Does Bertrans play with Bogdan Bogdanovic?

Game to forget for Bertans.
Nurkic is one of the most physical centers you'll see in Europe. His body is simply huge. He is definitely a prospect, but as I said, has trouble with getting in foul trouble regularly. I've seen him foul out in 15 minutes or even less.
Bertans plays with Bogdanovic, yes.
Too bad that they lost. I would have loved to see a Bertans-Saric matchup in the finals.
Hopefully, we can see him on the Spurs' summer league team next.
Bertrans start hitting the weight room bro we need ya next season!!!!
If he is going to progress, he will have to come to the USA and play in D league if nothing else. Minutes in Europe are not enough. He NEEDS court time.
Uh, the Euroleague is a MUCH higher level of bball than the dleague. He's right where he needs to be to develop without using a roster spot. When he's ready, they'll bring him over and he'll play. There's zero point in paying him an NBA salary to shuttle back and forth between SA and Austin if he isn't ready.
I agree and I think he is ready to take over Bonners position so welcome to the coaching staff Red. It takes around one to two years before a player get's comfortable or playing time so let him come in and learn from the best. Will he come in and be a starter nope but he can get five to ten minutes a game and work on his body as far as getting stronger.
Plus he's under contract over there until the summer of 2015.
I don't have a link, but pretty sure there is a doable buyout in his contract. Pretty sure it would have been noted all over the place if not.
His team didn't qualify to Euroleague for the next year.
