Hater is that you?
with some horrid officiating in both games, and wild Turnobili making his road appearance to make our 2 point deficit in 3rd quarter a 10 point deficit with meth fans screaming their lungs out
So calm down people... I'm already thinking about our adjustments for game 5
I'm drunk so this might not make sense but soon it will.
Another drunk post.
Spurs have a tremendous chance to win game 3. Not only are they rolling, but now they get 3 days rest? Big time opportunity to go up 3-0.
That goes both ways though tons of time for OKC to adjust. Doubt they will though.
I think the refs will do their thing in at least one game, which will allow Thunder to play out of their minds for a game or possibly two. Spurs are the better team though, I felt that way before Ibaka's injury. I think Spurs can take a game in OKC despite the massive homecooking.
Well, Spurs have plenty of time to game plan against any expected moves so I don't worry about that. Giving this Spurs team time to rest/recover with a two-zero lead is asking for trouble.
I agree. Our best shot would be taking Game 3. Just have a feeling KD will go off. Our bench also hasn't been all that great this series imo. Hopefully Patty and Marco get going.
It's certainly possible....but highly unlikely. that! This team is on a mission and will not collapse as they did the past two years.
I'm glad i'm not the only one wasted![]()
Refs cannot stop hot shooting. If the game is close the spurs will lose based on Durant getting to the line.
Spurs gotta put either game 3 or 4 away early.
Actually it was OP's post on his previous threads a few days back. But well, I got wasted last night so I guess that counts.
On a Tuesday, man?![]()
The Thunder will win games in this series. They won't roll over and die, and the Spurs will find themselves as the ones in need of adjustments. However, KD can't win them a series on his own. Westbrook and Durant will easily double their point totals from tonight and the Spurs will have to get more from Duncan, Mills, Marco, and Manu. The FT disparity also went heavily in favor of the Spurs tonight after that first quarter and that will be different in OKC.
What's important, though, is the loss of Ibaka (though his presence probably wasn't going to stop the bleeding tonight) has disrupted the Thunder's ability to shut down the interior passing of the Spurs. Parker and Duncan have shredded OKC, and though I expect that to subside a little on the road, it's evident after Games 1 and 2 that the Thunder - without their defensive anchor - have little to offer in the way of resistance.
This looks an awful lot like the POR series. OKC, despite any adjustments, don't have the defense to prevent the Spurs from getting consistent good looks which is obviously a huge issue. If the Spurs defend, rebound and take care of the ball it's going to be very tough for OKC to win.
I'm surprised at just how uneven it's been with Ibaka but after watching it actually play out, OKC is in trouble.
Yep, someone said when we go up 2-0 you will hear alot of 2012 in here and losing the road games. Well here it is! Right on que.
Bingo. The Spurs have done a bang up job of just keep on running their offense, and without a paint defender, there's just little OKC can do about it.
The Spurs could have a poor shooting night like Game 4 against Portland, and drop a game, but overall, I don't see any easy answers for Brooks.
There is nothing OKC can feel good about going home. The Spurs are gonna come out of OKC with at least one win.
Scotty Brooks is their coach, tbh.... Adjustments, what's that?
The long layoff favors OKC more, imho.
OKC doesn't really have adjustments to make with their current personnel and coach, tbh..
Without Ibaka, the lane will continue to be open, so you either allow Parker/Manu to get to the rim or Duncan/Splitter getting assisted layups..if you close, Green will continue to shoot lights out, and maybe Belinelli/Mills will make an open shot at some point..
The Thunder are going to do what they always do, which is hope that Durant/Westbrook go off for top-tier performances..it's difficult for a 2-man team to beat the Spurs, especially when those 2 players are being guarded by arguably the best defensive duo in the league..
Pretty much this...
OKC's "adjustments" will be getting very favorable calls in game three.
