why do u think westbrook doesn't care? i get the feeling too but why?
You can tell the Thunder look lost....at the end of the half Westbrook was shouting at Durant.
Westbrook looked like he didnt care and just started chucking up shots, even in the press conference they seem to have no answer.
Westbrook to me is showing the selfish player that he is.....this is Durants team.
I think that "i have your back comment was all BS" in his MVP speech...clearly looks like some dislike.
Has anyone caught this?

RW took 26 shot Att.
KD took 16 shot Att.
It's difficult to decipher their relationship. Later on, after Westbrook openly displayed his frustration with Durant, the two of them were sitting on the bench laughing and joking and carrying on when the game was well out of reach. I don't know, although KD is the more dominant player on the court, I think that RW is the more dominant in the relationship. Tell me, has KD ever openly, publicly dressed down RW like that when he's chucking stupid shots early in the clock during crucial moments?? I don't know if he has, but I think he would have every right to, given the abuse he takes for a mis que on defense, a common mistake even on great teams.
Let em implode for all I care
Let's hope for some more of this Sunday.

His MVP speech was great, but his comments about Russell were blatant lies. A classy guy like Durant should not be able to like Russells behavior.
The true spur killer is in a houston strip club tossing away his fortune. These two were only saved by the bearded assasin and now the goal tend king has been silenced via cp3. Perfect storm for SA after all the breaks that went bad for us.
People tend to bicker with people who you like the most. I don't think anything about it. Spurs need to play even better Sunday because Durrant and Russ are going to be a whole lot better at home
Good for them. Let them be.
yup and the refs definitely will have a better game against the spurs
They look exhausted and frustrated. In that state, you get a little snappy. Those two aren't used to carrying the defensive load. Pop pounding on them like a rock. Wave after wave. Screen after screen. People getting mad at him for subbing in Belli for Green...but Belli has fresh LEGS...Thunder have to keep up with all of the off the ball movement. Green gets some open looks later, sometimes, due to overall fatigue of the Thunder. They just dog tired and deflated.
Thunder looked like after getting beat by 30+, not surprising. That game is over though, and with things moving to OKC, we basically get a series reset. Spurs still have to bring it, don't expect OKC to back down an inch.
Well said
No one mentioned OKC backing down? Sometimes MMA fighters will keep fighting a lost cause, that's why there is rule for stoppage. To prevent them from killing themselves. There is no stoppage here. No inning run rule. Sometimes, if you are outmatched, you just plain get beat.
No, they looked this way after the buzzer at the half. Sure, after the game, too, but during. The fourth was scrub-time. So, all the exhaustion I am referring to occurs after 36 minutes of play. With our Durant defender on the bench. I may be wrong, but sort of expect this to continue. What will their energy levels look like after 48 minutes of play, or overtime? I believe we are seeing our bench really pay dividends not in points, but in calories burned.
We may still lose some games to them, but the above still seems to be a legit phenomenon.
There were 3 OKC assistants sitting in front of us at the game. The one right in front of me was marking good and bad plays by Thunder players. About half way through the 3rd quarter one of them closed his notebook, said, "Holy ", got up and left. The other 2 closed their notebooks and stopped taking notes. The looks on their faces was priceless.
It's at times like this that I recall the famous line from the Denver Post during the Nuggets series in 2005:
"The Spurs do not beat you so much as they grind you into tiny shards of psychological wreckage."
Yup...pretty much.
Who would have thought that 3 days of rest would benefit the Thunder more than the Spurs? If game 3 was tomorrow and game 4 Sunday, it could very well be a sweep.
Spurs rip Thunder 112-77 for 2-0 lead
Bunch of old guys schooling Durant and Westbrook...Shows what can happen if stars take less money & the coach is allowed to be in charge...
Reminds me of my Lakers…Ohh yea, o Dr Jim...![]()
I think it benefits both teams, but more so the Spurs b/c of Parker's injury. Plus Duncan needs the rest after the physical series he had with Lopez on the block.
They had 4 days rest after that series.
If Leonard was created in a lab to be the perfect Spurs, Westbrook was too...just as his counterpart.
Was there a bigger Anti-Spur in the last 15 years of NBA ball? I'd even prefer Gilbert Arenas with a big bag of guns or Ricky Davis chasing trippledoubles while firing at the wrong basket.
Spurs wouldn't even sign him if he offered his services for the minimum. ("services" not meaning cleaning AT&T centers toilettes or ing the ugly groupies to keep them away from Bellinelli...and even then)
