Eastern conference, tbh.
Their fans and Dumars would probably like a do-over on their breakup, too.
Three in a row is a great accomplishment.
But to be contrarian, Detroit was never a real championship threat after their le in '04 and narrow loss in '05 (to the Spurs).
Yet Detroit went to numerous conference finals after that. It signified nothing but an orderly decline.
That said, Go Spurs -- get number Five.
Eastern conference, tbh.

This is probably true.
Unfortunately some of the bandwagon fans on here only stay around to troll other REAL fans because they hate on a particular player or the coach.
It is pathetic and completely classless and unfunny.
It is what it is.

Amazing. Back in 2011, when I first joined this forum, nearly everyone thought the Duncan era was over and we needed to rebuild.Nearly everyone was wrong.
The 1997-2014 Spurs are the greatest sports organization of all time.
Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili are the winningest NBA trio of teammates in history in the playoffs recently passing Magic, Kareem, and Cooper.
If Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili play together after this season, they will become the longest-running trio in NBA history (currently tied for 1st with Bird, McHale, Parish).
Not only that, but after sweeping OKC soon, also the only trio of teammates to be in an NBA Finals 11 years apart with the same team.
Much like Duncan last year become the only player ever to appear in 2 NBA Finals 14 years apart with the same team.
No team comes close to this sustained excellence. Not Jordan's Bulls, Bird's Celtics, or Shaq/Kobe's Lakers, or even the fake Laker/Celtic dynasties of the 50s/60s when the league only had 10 teams and anyone could win.
Notice the Spurs have increasingly gained media respect the last 2 years and are becoming the biggest story in the NBA, as LeBron, Bosh, and Wade end their 4 year run.
They won 64 games after the Game 7 loss in the Finals in '05 but lost in the semi'. They weren't really relevant afterward.
The East ,for some reason, has a bunch of teams that make the Conference Finals year after year. That Pistons team went to 6 straight. Bad Boys I went to 5 straight and 3 straight Finals appearances. The Nets before them went to the ECF twice and back2back Finals appearances. The Pacers went to the ECF 5 times in between '94-2000 (5 for 7)
The Bulls went 5 straight times and 8 times in a 10 year span. This Heat team has 3 straight appearances as well.
Duncan pulled off an epic rope a dope
I remember him walking off the court in Memphis and thought he was done being a quality player. He averaged 13 points and 9 rebounds that season and looked so slow and plodding.
The following seasons he upped it to (points/ rebounds blocks ,rounding up) 15/9/2 then 18/10/3 and now 14/10/2
he looks much better now at 38 than he did at 35.
It's still hard to believe. I remember being really pissed after 2011. If you had told me Spurs would be in this position, while the Lakers are tanking (and doing a terrible job at that) I would've said get the outta here, axel foley style.
No matter what happens, Spurs have created something special, and the book still isn't finished.
