I don't know - With the way the Spurs played in games 1 and 2, they looked totally unbeatable. I just find it hard to believe that Ibaka makes that much of a difference. It just looks like a completely different Spurs team in game 3 and 4. They're playing so passively - and Tony and Timmy don't usually suck this much two games in a row. I wouldn't be so upset if the Spurs were still playing pretty good and just got beat by a few points - but this is looking like a royal beatdown so far.
Pop needs to leave them out there for once whether a blow out loss or not. They need to find their ing manhood and ing compete. That 2nd quarter was ing terrible in every sense of the word.
If the third starts as the second ended, might as well rest the old boys for game 5.

Westbrick had one ticky tack trip to the line, but it remains to be seen if the refs won't call that in favor of the spurs because our guards haven't even tried. If Tony tries to bull his way into the rim and initiates contact and the refs don't call that at least once, then yes that one trip by Westbrick where he bulled his way to the rim and was awarded free throws can be considered illegitimate (+2 for OKC).
We don't know if it's illegitimate yet or not unless Parker tries the same thing. If the refs awarded free throws at least once, then it evens out and it's OK.

Straw man. I never said he had good handles. I said they don't override everything else he brings on offense. I think you hit the nail on the head. Pop looked or a "reason" not to have Green out there. Danny's probably the only Spurs whom Pop is constantly trying to take out if he doesn't play perfect ball.
The Athletic argument is a wash, all teams are athletic, they are damn Professional Basketball players whom can perform maneuvers 99.9% of people cannot on the b-ball court.
It comes down a team imposing their will to win over a team. And Pop doesnt instill that, he tells his players to conduct in a professional manner, but at times you need to muck it up and get dirty.
Same story, Spurs get hit in the mouth and they just revert to sloppy play
I think Pop experiments this half just to see if anything works against them for Game 5. Might as well cause they have to find something or this series is over tbh.
