they get free throws off their jumpers
Thunder can shoot well from outside but I'd much rather live with them taking long jumpers (and hopefully less chance of free throws) than watching them have a layup drills against SA.
This is depressing, but the Spurs are going to have to turn the Thunder into a jump shooting team.
they get free throws off their jumpers
Like they did to us in games 3-4
Leave Westbrook to take jumpers (or force him to) and put a body on Durant at all times. Between the two you'd be better to take chances on Westbrook. If he kills the Spurs then you just have to live with it.
You can't do that against the Thunderef$... Westbrook/ Durant drive in, they touch a Spur = foul
Defending them in the half court hasn't been the big issue, tbh, except for the excessive free throws, which the Spurs can't control..
Way too many transition opportunities for OKC is killing the Spurs..
Make fouls worth it by fouling him harder then. That's the thing... all you've been complaining about are soft fouls. No one's putting them on the floor when they drive to the rim. Tiago, could you do that? How about Diaw or Duncan?
Good stuff Venti Quattro
Spurs look ed
This is a series where I don't have much of a problem with the defensive game-plan. It's the offense that doesn't make them pay for all the gambling they do on the perimeter, and their gambling paying off for them with easy transition baskets.
Old school Pop won't do that smh. Shaq has always said when he sees someone getting too happy, he roughs em up in the paint "a little"
You would think we don't have 2 7foot guys who can block shots with how wide open the paint has been.
If you're going to foul, foul hard. But work to keep them out of the paint the next time. It's about moving their feet.
ST would still be crying when fisher/lamb/sefalosha/jackson etc... hits a ridiculous amount of 3s
