If we play small we can give Cojo and Green 35min.

We can pull Ibaka away from the basket with Kawhi something Boris shouldn't be doing when he's so good at driving and posting up while his outside shot is inconsistent...

Boris at center off the bench can take his man off the dribble and just destroy him...

    Tim Boris
    Kawhi Bonner
    Green Manu
    Cojo Green
    TP Cojo

Green guards Durant cause smaller defender are by far the best matchups since he can't post up, Cojo guards Chuckbrook, Kawhi guards Ibaka and show his value as the best help defender and rebounder on the team... Run post ups for Tim and especially Boris to fix the shot blockers ffs... Pray. Kidnap Beli and hide him from Pop...

Force OKC to change what they're doing cause they're gonna cruise to victory if it keeps up...

Ibaka make them the best "big" team by far, force them to play him at center vs Tim instead of playing into their strengths (Ibaka having to "guard" a non threat like Tiago is the best scenario for Okc)...

Here's a better plan: Stop running system basketball, and just give it to Mills or Parker to create their own offense:

Giving the ball to Mills who is gonna jack up hero 3s he's making at a 25% clip is not an option thank you... He can get some time as a floor spacer if Green or Cojo gets in foul trouble or something tho...

    Bonner the savior
Yes I admit I wanted to amnesty his ass to get an upgrade but now that we're here with this group he gotta play... Sounds crazy but it is what it is ... It's pretty much a suicide mission at this point.

Forget Boris playing backup center. He should be playing starting center.

What the do we need Tim for in this series? Seriously. If Tiago is not for this series? Aren't we really just saying Tim is not for this series either but since he's Tim Duncan, we'll put him above Tiago?

What a joke. Next time you want to play small, get rid of both of them and actually play small, or if you're going to keep 1 big, let's get real. Tiago is better than Duncan at this point.

    Splitter - Boris
    Kawhi - Bonner
    Green - Manu
    Cojo - Green
    Paker - Cojo

    What is the problem here?

Duncan can't move, can't hold position for rebounding, can't shoot, can't finish inside. What are we doing playing him?

Truth, but he should still play. You never know when he could have a throwback game.

My main problem with Tim in that last game was the horrendous decision making, you could tell he wanted to hero ball the moment he got the ball, never looking to pass... And his man could see it as well... Terrible stuff but at least he can play with his back to the basket unlike Tiago...

Tim also offers 0 rim protection. He gets his blocks these days from "tip" blocks ... timing well against inferior unsuspecting athletes. That's not for this round or the next.

When a Monte Ellis, Russell Westbrook takes it high in the air and glides, they just simply glide by Duncan and waits for him to land before shooting. Serge Ibaka just dunks it over him.

I can't stand this team's loyalty to history and not to matchups. Dude is 38. He doesn't deserve 35 minutes plus against whatever team he's playing against.

Put Duncan on another team right now that is not playing the entire system to cover his deficiencies, and he would be exposed so much more as being Hakeem in Toronto.

Fight iso hero ball with iso heroball... interesting. Might work in stretches. Systems been working at home but based on past history you can't count on it. Sometimes you gotta gamble with a streaky shooter

Spurs don't stand a chance without Tim. They also don't stand much of one with him. They are who they are. They are tuned about as well as they can be for their talent level and athleticism. When an opposing PG can beat your entire team down the floor from the opposite baseline, you're not an athletic team. Spurs trotted all game and no one really hustled back on defense except Danny Green once or twice.

In the regular season sure, but not at this level. The Thunder found every hole in the Spurs defense and there were plenty. Both KD and Westbrook waltzed right into the lane at will, every trip down, and were often rewarded with easy layups or free throws for their efforts.

It's not about hustle tbh, it's just about walking into a buzzsaw that's custom made to destroy you... Hopefully Pop surprises me in a good way...

    Bonner over Tiago gtfo

Seriously, in any case, this has to be make or break time for Kawhi. It's his time to shine. With the way he's been playing, the team will lose in six.

Tiago has been overhyped... He's a situational player. A great one but a situational player nonetheless much like Bonner...

Now that he's struggling, you're being made to look like an expert who anxiously waits for the day to come when the team cuts ties with him.

Going small may work for stretches of the game. I would love to see a Parker-Ginobili-Green-Leonard-Duncan lineup. It gives you two creators/ball handlers in Tony and Manu, but also keeps your 2 best perimeter defenders out there in Leonard and Green, and our best post defender and rebounder in Timmy...
