Because Barkley and Malone are better players... just check their stats.
It also includes 3 of the GOAT at their positions plus two of the greatest defenders I ever saw at the other two spots.
Because Barkley and Malone are better players... just check their stats.
Magic for the all around performance and passing abilites
Jordan for closing out games and scoring at will
Pippen for the rebounding and dirty work (always have to have someone do the dirty work)
Duncan for the post-up moves and spacing the floor on the midrange
Hakeem for the dominant interior presence
There no better combo imo
Magic Johnson
Michael Jordan
Scottie Pippen
Tim Duncan
Hakeem Olajuwon
The only thing that concerns me is that there are no deadeye shooters in that lineup. Other than that it's about perfect.
PG: $1 Frazier
SG: $5 Jordan
SF: $5 LeBron
PF: $3 Duncan
C: $1 Hakeem
This right here.
Tall as . MJ/Pippen duo. Duncan and Hakeem patrolling the paint, and Magic orchestrating.
Unstoppable.
White pants? Priceless...
PG - Magic $5 (Too much of a drop off from Magic to the rest. I would consider going $2 for Stockton, but then the gain from Scottie to Bird is not really worth it)
SG - MJ $5 (Too much of a drop off from MJ to the rest)
SF - Pippen $1 (Would consider moving up if I drop Magic for Stockton)
PF - Duncan $3 (Stupid not to take him at the price)
C - Hakeem $1 (Stupid not to take him at the price)
I guess the only alternate I have is have Stockton and Bird instead of Magic and Scottie.
This starting five has everything, scoring, passing, perimeter defense, interior defense, off the ball defense, intangibles, players willing to take a back seat (except MJ). Now just put in Daly as a coach, and you are set.
Duncan/Hakeem being so undervalued makes this pointless.at Bill Russell being 4 points.
If I could get CP3 for 0 points, I'd do that all day. I want a PG that can actually spread the floor if needed.
PG: CP3
SG: Jordan
SF: Lebron
PF: Duncan
C: Hakeem
or if I could get Ray Allen for 0 or 1. Three would be my choice if I had to stick to the script, but I'd rather have a deadeye/clutch shooter if needed. The fast breaks with this lineup would be just amazing to watch.
PG: Magic
SG: Ray Allen
SF: Lebron
PF: Duncan
C: Hakeem
If you weren't limited by position and without doing the Hakeem/Duncan combo,
PG: Lebron
SG: Jordan
SF: Durant
PF: KG
C: Shaq
Dirk/Hakeem is the other option, but I like the ability to have a guy out there you don't need to really run plays for (KG). He's also the best passer outta the guys listed and is nearly as good a defender as Hakeem. Dirk spreads the floor, but Shaq gives you a much better inside/out game.
Durant is there because I want at least one pure shooter on the team. (Although Bron/Jordan/Pippen/KG/Wilt would be ridiculous as too without doing Duncan/Hakeem.)
So tbh this team can't be beat if we're not following the rules. Too much defense and just enough shooting.
Bron
Jordan
Pippen
Duncan
Hakeem
i know when you have players of this caliber, its nit-picking, but that team has no outside shooting threat at all, which could make the stockton-bird combo a better fit in this case
One of the worst teams you could put together
You have No go to Scorers and 1 dominate defender. The 1996 Bulls might defeat your Dream 5 in a 7-game series.
If I can mess with positions...
LeBron
Wade
Durant
Dirk
Duncan
If not then I'll take:
Stockton
Wade
Durant
Duncan
Shaq
Hakeem and Duncan are both dominate defenders... In all likelihood, Lebron would be too if he could just focus his energy on that end. (Like he would in an all star team) Wade is probably one of the better defenders at SG too. Second best on the SG list given tbh.
The no "go to scorers" is 100% horse . Every single one of those guys has had their moments.
Didn't look at what the cost is but my lineup would be the top players of All Time at their positions:
PG: Magic
SG: Jordan
SF: LeBron
PF: Duncan
C: Kareem
money is no object,,,,,
Another couple interesting lineups if positions don't matter:
Ultimate smallball:
PG: Thomas
SG: Durant
SF: Pippen
PF: LeBron
C: Nowitzki
Ultimate tallball:
PG: LeBron
SG: Durant
SF: Garnett
PF: Nowitzki
C: Kareem
The greatest SF of All Time is Bird.
Not anymore
*Compares career numbers*
*Bird never sidekicked*
*Larry never folded*
No, still looks like he is.
LeBron never sidekicked either
1981 Finals: Bird put up 15 PPG on 42% shooting - that's worse than LeBron in 2011.... Bird also lost seven series with homecourt advantage![]()
PG: Lebron $5
SG: Jordan $5
SF: Pippen $1
PF: Tim $3
C: Dream $1
You wouldn't score on this team. Could defend any lineup presented to them. And offensively they would simply overpower you.
Are you kidding?,,,Im getting trolled,,,,no one educated thinks LeBron isnt the best SF of All Time,,,especially if LeBron 3 peats(something Bird never did and Bird only has 3 rings). LeBron is on pace to pass Kareem with most points of All Time,,,and more regular season MVP's than Bird and isn't even 30 yet,,,,LMAO.
Joining another Star players franchise in your prime = Sidekick
Whatever you say, Skip
Cleveland never got him a McHale or a Parrish, or else he wouldn't have left, end of story....
