Yuppppp
the difference now is that the team didn't let him do it alone.
Game 5 Two years ago: 34 pts on 11/21 shooting, 5/10 from threes, 7 asts.
Now: 19 pts, 7/9 from the field 3/4 from threes, 6 asts.
Didn't know Manu played that well in 2012 although he's also fantastic tonight.
He went off, almost litterally, he gave the spurs like a 6 point advatage but it wasn't enough. That thunder team was too good.
I remember shouting so loud when he hit a 3 that gave us a lead in the 3rd.
We should now only play Manu alternate games.
Keep it up on game 6. Don't be a got.
He brought it tonight.
hath froze over
Manu has a thing for games 5 against this franchise, tbh.
what was up with the launch from too far away from the 2005 esqe jam tonight?
time machine sputtered for a sec there
He was fouled. If he wasn't fouled, it would have been a throw down.
agree, caron i think it was clearly gets his arm/shoulder in the process of the stuff
I was there 2 years ago...he played his heart out, the big three were alone that night for sure, still hurts that game but it can be all better if we finally beat them
i forgot he actually had a shot to tie that game... felt almost as bad for him as i did for the team when that didn't fall
Manu always seems to deliver his A game in a "Big" Game 5 in the playoffs.
2011 vs Memphis: 33 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals
2012 vs OKC: 34 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 2steals
2013 vs Miami: 24 points, 10 assists
2014 vs OKC: 19 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists
And he does the same in Game 7s, too.
Manu is the kind of guy whom I can never hate tbh. Dude is the biggest compe or I've ever seen in any sport.
I saw Game 5 of the Finals in person last year. Defining sports moment for me. Trashed out of my mind, crowd screaming "Manu! Manu!" louder than I've ever head the AT&T get...man. I think I will go home tonight after work and watch it again.
