When Diaw plays like this, the Spurs are almost unbeatable. However, if he played like this all the time, the Spurs never would have gotten him.
Very true but yeah I'm okay knowing that.

Is it anyone's surprise that Boris is just a very smart basketball player? He's all skill and brain (and fat) out on the court.

Diaw is the Robert Horry and Michael Finley of this team.

You hated them when they were on the opposing team, love them when they are here.

Our big rotation should be a model for other franchises in today's NBA. You have your primary, two way big man (TD) then a high IQ rim protector and screener (Tiago) and a floor stretching, quick-footed PF that can score down low, prom the perimeter, or with the pass, and most importantly abuse small ball. That trio can adjust to matchup with any front court in the league.

All 3 are great passers, too, while most other teams have 1 good passing big, at best..

Spurs bigs ability to pass the ball (Tim/Boris/Tiago) might be the best in history and it's a massive reason the Spurs offense is as good as it is.

Ever since Diaw won the euro championship he has been different player. He played the final game the same way he did tonight. It hurt Parker playing but Diaw, the effect has been just the opposite.

He said in an interview early this year, that his scoring prowess came from that tournament, as he realized he he do whatever it takes for his team to win a championship. He certainly back that up tonight and this whole series.

Diaw will be crucial against the Heat. We've got to punish the Heat for going small. If they stay big we'll still have the advantage with Splitter.

So funny that Blair was pissed in 2012 when Boris stole his minutes and (that year) playoff starting spot. Boris's B-ball IQ is twice Blair's.

True that. The NBA lockout aided us too.

Anyway, Boris has to be the most skilled, smooth, fat ass mother er to ever play in the NBA. My goodness, 95% of the league's players couldn't replicate his game if they were that fat and "out of shape."
