Seriously he is a of a player.. He might be the key to this whole thing..
His career was a bummer until he got to the Spurs. He's at his rightful place now![]()
Crazy how low his career statistics are. A dude with that much skill should put up massive numbers. He has a lot of the skill and advantages that Carmelo brings to table.
He has become one of my favorite players of all time during this stretch with the spurs, the guys bbIQ is off the charts. He makes the perfect play almost every time, with the exceptions being he is too passive at times. He's the model all stretch 4's should emulate. Boris has been one of, if not the, best midseason pick up in recent memory
Diaw won't be able to score on Lebron in the paint. However, if the Heat put Lebron on Parker that would leave at least one of Kawhi or Boris being defended by a smaller guy and we should be able to abuse them every time.
Boris should be able to have his way with Haslem or Battier.
The only issue is how much we're gonna have to pay him in the summer is going up and up. He's definitely earnt more than the MLE.
Meh, we saw the same with Lamar Odom, he was the athletic, face-up version of Boris..great passer that can stretch the floor while being a good defensive player..
There are always stories of wasted talent and potential, but some players just don't have that mentality, and they need to be with the right coach and in the most comfortable situation..in Diaw's case, it also took a near-Finals win, as he himself has said, to motivate him even more..
Love it!
He might take less considering how much he's enjoyed his time in SA. It's honestly the perfect situation for him, and he gets to play with his old friend and speak french when he wants.
I think most ty teams will avoid courting him due to the fact that he stopped caring/got fat when he was stuck in Charlotte. It would only be other contenders who would jack up his price tag trying to grab him.
i gotta admit, he's the best FAT player of all-time..
That's my point. We've got to attack the matchups that work in our favor. We closed the series when Pop finally started attacking matchups. They were trying to guard TD with Jackson and Fisher and we made them pay.

^^Yep..
Part of the problem towards the end of last year's series was the reliance on Parker, even when Lebron was guarding him..sure, he made a few clutch shots, but he was 6-23 in game 6 and a non-factor in game 7..
The Spurs will need to utilize all their weapons, all their mismatches, and they will have several of them against a Miami team that relies heavily on Lebron's defense..
Battier is pretty strong and has the quickness to stay with Boris off the dribble... I want Boris attacking Lebron at least as much as I want him attacking Battier... At least Lebron will pick up fouls and spend some energy in defense... Stephenson backed in up from the 3 point line to the rim a few times...
Co- Mvp of the finals although Kawhi deserved it. Unsung hero to epic proportions
Welcome back, Boris the Animal.
Back-to-back 19 point games for Boris.
I was beginning to get "Horry in 2008" vibes, where we all thought he would eventually turn it on, but it never happened..fortunately, it seems like Diaw was actually coasting earlier and can still turn it on when the team needs him..
Hopefully that 3-point shot returns to consistency, though..
