LeBron on Spurs: "They don't like us. I can sense that from Tim's comments the past couple days."

Way to make it about you. The Spurs just want the bad taste from last year's loss gone. I really doubt any Spur sits at home thinking about how much they dislike the Heat.
I've never understood the need for this Heat team to manufacturer a chip for their shoulders, just go out and play hard every game.
Scrimmage normally.
Rest assured the bad taste from last year's loss will be gone, and probably replaced with the bad taste from this year's loss.
Pragmatic take right there.
Way to show confidence in your team......

Heat trying to pump themselves up
Wade has a good sense of humor. Honestly I don't think either team hates each other. There's secretly probably great mutual respect and mutual "appropriate fear." This is all for theater.
This is all whipping it out for the measuring sticks.
Needing a ruse to get yourself psyched for the finals is a sign of a weak mind, imo.
rofl "They don't like us". Most sensitive ing superstar of all time. Lebron is a top 5 all time player but he's honestly one of the most sensitive players ever.
idk what's more pathetic. the media trying to spin or the spurstalk fanbase that falls for it.
just goes to show spurs are already in their heads and under their skin
Jordan used to invent slights, now Lebron is doing it as well.
this is just hype-building, neither of these teams dislike each other, tbh..
As Bosh said, some of them are friends, and there's a ton of respect..Lebron has constantly discussed his admiration for the Spurs organization and has said that Duncan is the best player of his generation..
Last year's Spurs-Heat Finals was one of the cleanest series' that I can remember, tbh..no altercations, no bad blood, no ref complaints, etc..
I believe Tim knew what he was doing, too..he doesn't care about his legacy nearly as much as Kobe, Shaq, Lebron, etc do, but he's not an idiot, he knows what this series would do for his legacy in the eyes of the media and casual fan, tbh..
This is all hype-building IMO..
Obviously Tim's answer to the question was reactionary, as he was still pumped from just defeating OKC, but he's had a lot more swag to him this year, tbh, probably due to the new girlfriend..he even got a different haircut for the first time in his adult life, earlier this year, with a taper fade..
You guys don't understand Duncanese. What he really said was:Tim Duncan: "We're happy that it's the Heat again. ... We've got that bad taste in our mouth still."
Tim Duncan: "We got 4 more to win. We'll do it this time."
"we are going to reach down that hyperblown windbag LeBrons throat and jerk his roid shrunken out by the roots and feed it to that got Dwayne Wade (it's what butterball has always wanted anyway) and dare CroMagBosh or ParrotTurd to do anything about it."
I hope Tim and Co. can pull this off. Then we can try for a repeat next year.
personally, i was also shocked td made those comments after game 6
it was such an emotional win after beating the thunder in OKC without tp etc...
wtf @ lebron's "they dont like us"
He's probably still pissed that only Danny Green showed up for their victory party last year...
TD is someone who can actually back up the talk. I have a feeling he's been saving the best for last. He's probably going to destroy the Heat in the paint. I don't feel he took advantage of his post scoring till later in the series. I'm going to go on a limb here but I think this could possibly be a sweep.
There's nothing "pragmatic" about that take. It's just a blind guess based on presumably tenuous reasons (possibly "eyeball tests" but I don't really care to speculate). How do I know that? Because every reasonable unbiased, stat-based prediction has the Spurs as favorites from point differential to playoff performance-based predictors and beyond.
