Any recommendations? Don't really want to pay the prices for a commercial grade. Need something with a 52" or so. Only thing I've heard so far is to go with the Kohler 7000 or the high end Kawasaki.
The guy at Lowes recommended the new Troy Built because it had independent suspension on the mower and the base is built with one piece. It also seemed to have heavier duty parts.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

Stay away from anything at Lowes or HD. If you're going to spend money on a ZTR, get a good one, not a piece of Troy Built.

Thanks. But Home Depot carries the Club Cadet. The Troy Built had the Kohler 7000 motor and the Husqvarna had the Kawasaki. Several people have said to buy a used Scag commercial grade but I don't know about fixing them or maintaining them. Need something with a warranty up front.

Commerical grade mowers are very expensive to maintain and it's shotgun style repairs where you pay 2K for a 30 dollar fix. A good friend runs a landscaping business and he's always ing about some rip off shop playing a guessing game with expensive parts instead of troubleshooting.

I don't like HD for anything related to motors.
