He is Pop's voice on the court and this has been for the past decade and a half. They do not reach the Finals this year, or any level of success, without him. The Spurs tank job in 1996 continues to pay a lot of dividends.

Kobe was near his prime in those years. Probably played the best basketball of his career in '09, since he finally had a Finals performance that wasn't embarrassing.
