If you care. Alternating teal, orange, fushia like on the old logo. Looks nice. Never saw this one before. I live right by the TOTA. Good show now the world is descending on our overgrown pueblo.

They should just bring those colors back, at least in the post-Duncan logo or somewhere on the court for some homage. The young guns are already sporting it

No, they shouldn't. You're just being nostalgic. Those colors being cool again is just a fad.

Bring them back on certain nights as retro / alterantive in small doses, but those colors are embarrassing for a professional nba sports franchise. I swear, if I ever see pink again on a spurs court...

I agree, would love to see some fiesta throwback alt unis. or start a fiesta colors throw back night every year where spurs wear the old fiesta colors. great for an event to sell tickets.

but i would prefer to keep the current unis for reg games.

    That's all subjective.

I can't be nostalgic if I wasn't around to see the Spurs play in the Alamodome, but having blue/teal on the court was around since 70's. Just because I don't care for those colors doesn't mean the Spurs should've ditched them, imo.

It's like a Lakers fan wanting the team to change their colors because he doesn't like the color yellow. Those fiesta colors were apart of the Spurs heritage for so long, it wasn't just a fad for 5 years or something like that lol.

subjective. those color combos are awsome. really unique for a pro sports team. while I dig the current colors they aren't unique.

It wasn't like baby pink or any of that crap Eh I don't know, I liked the unique blend. All I know is that in 2k14 I find myself playing at the Alamodome a ton.

They em wore the exact same jerseys back then!!! Only the court, stadium, and warm ups were fiesta themed

allow me to rephrase: alt unis that are a throwback to the fiesta colors from that time, would look tacky, but not if you did them right. make em all black with the the color bars striped across or something.

or do the taco cabana jersey lol that is in the photoshop going around, that's hilarious.

OP, you can't start a thread like this without posting pics for those of us not in SA, especially when you took pictures. It's like volunteering at a school for blind children and being like, "Oh my God, you guys! Check out that sunset!"

Also, this thread is useless without pics.

The Spurs floor was red white and blue in the 70s through the mid 80s. The teal was only 89-93 at Hemisfair and 93-02 in the Dome.

Actually, it was a shorter period of time than people think. I believe they were Charlene McCombs choice. So, from some time in the 80s, to 2002, probably 15 years out of 38 NBA seasons.

The pukey Fiesta logo/colors aren't the tradition, they were an aberration. It would be like if the Lakers DID actually change their colors for a while. This team's tradition is Black and Silver, with some white accents.

Exactly. My personal opinion, there was nothing more embarrassing than watching games on national television with gigantic PINK circles on the court.

I understand for a time the fiesta colors were part of the spurs. I just never ever ever liked the pink, hot pink, whatever the he'll it was, even as a kid!

It just never made sense to me to have the ominous intimidating black color (think real men wear black type thing - raiders), mixed with fiesta colors behind it. It was a late 80's - 90's fad that overstayed its welcome, just like that damn Yall Ready for This song.

Again, this is just my opinion.
