any recommendations for good restaurant (BBQ ribs, Mexican) on riverwaLk or downtown?
Uh oh - he asked THAT question!
I would recommend Acenar for SA Mexican food. You get local dishes as well as a few from Mexico as well as a patio on the riverwalk as well as a good atmosphere. If you're here longer I then I would try Cascabel on South St. Mary's Street. BBQ is hard downtown. But if you want to go outside of downtown there is the Smoke Shack on Broadway and Two Brothers on West Avenue.
If you rent a car, you should definitely head East on I-10 to Luling for City Market's sausage (especially), brisket, and ribs on one of your off days (closed Sunday). It's maybe an hour or so drive each way
Show up after 3 PM or so and they might be out of meat though. Skip the sides; they're pretty average. The meat is the star of the show, and is way too awesome to put sauce on (Texas BBQ is made to be eaten without sauce unless it's really ty BBQ).
City Market ain't fancy, but you won't find better BBQ anywhere in the state other than perhaps Snow's, which is only open Saturday mornings. (I have never been to Snow's, but people on this board who have say their brisket is unmatched). It really is worth the drive to City Market, especially considering our gas prices are a of a lot better than your's in France.

we have already an awsome seat for Home game 1....SECTION 20 ROW 4 !!!! i cant believe it we made this crazy stuff...row 4, behind spurs bench..

Just googled it and evidently there are two Rudy's BBQ in the SA metro area.
I'm not sure what you locals think about it since it's a chain but I think it's top notch Texas turf for an outsider to consider for their first taste of brisket. Try the moist brisket, turkey, and St Louis ribs with some cream corn.
