E.g., how many of your own dollars would a Spurs le be worth? Say either Jesus or Joey Crawford comes to you and tells you he'll win the Spurs the le for X amount of dollars, or they lose if you don't pay, so there is no middle ground. You don't have time to pool money with friends/family/rich-uncle but you can go to the bank if you want. Deal's off if Jesus/Joey sees you rob a liquor store or something to pay. What is the highest X you'll pay? E.g., you'll pay X dollars but not 1.1X dollars. So maybe you'd pay $500 but not $550.

Actually, the X vs X+1 thing is stupid, as no one is going to care about the extra dollar. So let's make it you'll pay X dollars, but not 1.1X dollars; e.g., you'll pay $500, but not $550.

Personally I'd be comfortable with $250k if it guaranteed us a ring. I'm pretty emotionally invested in the spurs winning, although I wouldn't bet everything I have obviously.
