Need to win game 2. GSG!
Absolutely true. Solid take tbh.
And yeah that Green dunk mailed in the game as far as I'm concerned... awesome second half from him.
Need to win game 2. GSG!
I was so scared Green was going to blow that dunk like he does 90 percent of the time lol
The turnovers will be cleaned up, a lot of sloppy play, but the primary problem is the perimeter defense from non-Green and Leonard players..
Manu can still give good defensive efforts, but the Heat were picking on Belinelli all game, per par..
Definitely a must win!
When it comes down to it, no one will remember how you won or whether it was "deserved." They'll just remember a winner and a loser. You win and lose games you don't deserve. It goes both ways. It always takes a little luck to win championships.
"not satisfying", "no business", "undeserving"
From a fanbase that had to witness .4, The Foul, and 6, gimme a f'n break. I'll take any Finals win however it comes tbh.
It's because Miami isn't actually very good. Just the fact that they led by 4 points after supposedly dominating the 3rd should make this clear. If the Spurs play a solid game, they will crush these s.
Last year Parker played on one leg and almost killed the king single handedly down stretch of 6.
We played sloppy and scored 110 points. The best is yet to come, we will EMBARRASS the Heat before this series is done mark my words.
This you ain't playing Indiana or another weak Eastern team anymore!
Lol of course, I'll take the win and celebrate. Just think the Spurs have a lot of work to do for Game 2 which of course they know. LeBron won't cramp up again.
Does Gatorade au e Lebron? That would be golden, tbh.![]()
I'm satisfied! Great win. Green came through and Tiago kept the team in the game during that awful 3rd quarter. Tough loss for heat. I think Spurs conditioning and tough playoffs so far paid off a little for them tonight. Great game from Timmy, just another ho hum playoff double double for the first ballot future HOFer.
Yeah that was an ugly game turnover-wise. But, that will keep Pop on their asses and keep these guys aware that they turned the ball over way too many times, even though they won...
Game 2 is a trap. Jazz vs Bulls in 1998, Thunder vs Heat in 2012, both teams caught a bit of a lucky break and won game 1, then lost game 2 and rest of the series. Heck this season we lost game 2 to the Mavs and went down 1-2. Against the Heat, we are done if we are put into that hole.
So the OP thinks Miami deserved to win?
I don't.
The Spurs committed 22 turnovers and got only 11 points from Kawhi and Boris, Miami got almost 80 points from Wade, Bosh, Lebron, and Allen, and the Spurs won by 15. We can all sit here and talk about the Spurs had no business winning the game - but the Heat were never able to execute well enough to go up by more than 7 during that meltdown by SA. Missed shots and fouls by the Heat allowed the Spurs to stick around, and then the 4th happened.
Bottom line is, championship teams find ways to win games that they have no business winning. The Spurs had no business winning Game 6 of the 2003 Finals, and they found a way to come back. They suffered demoralizing blows in Games 3 and 4 in Detroit in 05, and found a way to win Games 5 and 7. They couldn't shake OKC in Game 6, and they found a way to get their first W in 10 tries at Chesapeake to win the West. Sometimes, the team will suck miserably. However, one of the defining characteristics of this Spurs team is that you never know where the X Factor will come from. One game ago, it was Diaw with 26 points. Tonight, he only had 2 and the Spurs won by 15. Champions figure out how to win when their most trusted resources and game plans fail.
They're not turning the ball over 23 times again tbh. I'd say about 8-10 of those were unforced.
Miami is good defensively but the Spurs light em up if they don't play sloppy regardless if LeBron is out there or not.
Yeah I agree. The Spurs played their worst game this postseason. A win is a win.
I really doubt many of these ers were around for .4. But yeah, I'm right there with you on this . I don't give a how we get it as long as we get it.
Savor it my nig, because Game 2 will be a dogfight. But I like the Spurs chances after surviving that turnover show tbh.
I remember that bald-headed sucker making that shot. For reals.
Tbh, I don't care how we win as long as we win. I've been around long enough to witness those .4, Manu foul, 6, and of course when Hakeem ted all over Robinson. All I care about is they realize that they can't continue to turn the ball over like that and giving Ray Allen and Lewis wide open shots and expect to win
