What's an all star MVP? Is that like a preseason MVP?
How would you guys rank them? And how many would you need to cancel out an NBA le? Let's look at Lebron's 4 League MVP's. How many of those would equal an NBA le if we're grading his legacy. Look at Kobe's 4 all-star MVP's... how many of those would you trade for an NBA le? The reason I'm asking is because it seems most people place a ton of stock in these league MVP's and the Finals MVP's, but not All-Star MVP's. If you are trying to boost your legacy would you trade a le for 4 MVP's?

i guess 40-60 all star mvps for a le seems fitting.
All-Star MVP

all-star mvp doesn't enter the equation at all
All-Star MVP.... Kyrie "no defense chucker and team cancer" Irving just won that this year....
Ok... let's rule it out. If I had 4 league mvp's with no les and you had 4 les with no mvp's. Would you trade a le for any number of my mvp's?
you were probably a better individual player who hasn't had a championship roster around him
You jokers are choking on your own bull . No one in their right mind would trade one le for 10 mvp's, yet you jokers always want to bring up mvp's when comparing Lebron and Jim to Kobe. It's all about the rings.
They should just shut this mutha er down....Luva still a gotdam genius branging DA MUTHA ING GOODS...I salute you myand them fine ass Ho's you ing.....
It's all about the the gotdam rangs.....Kobe 5 TOSB 4 has been a muthafcker for Spur fan.....but in the event they choke again you can trust they're ready and prepared to suck Lebron's skin raw in order to deal with Laker fan![]()
i'm sure players care more about les than MVP's, so you are right in saying nobody would trade a le for 10 MVP's. but in evaluating a player's individual ability/greatness, having 4 MVP's compared to a guy that has none but just happened to be part of a stacked le team is a more incredible feat
hey buddy ole buddy ole pal.....what you say about Gold vs Bronze Medals?

Finals MVP > Season MVP > AAU MVP > YMCA MVP > $1.00 > Allstar MVP
Getting welched on > All-Star MVP![]()
Well... according to most players these days... Lebron included, the MVP award is a team award, unless you enter Kobe into the equation. Then you guys find a way to inflate the value of an MVP award over multiple championships. Stuck in the mud, eh?
I can't wait to see their reaction when Kobe comes back next season dropping his career averages in season 19.
You're changing the subject, though. First this was about deciding which player is greater based on achievements. Now you're making it about "trading a le for MVPs" but that's different. No one would trade a le for MVPs, but if we're ranking players, MVPs carry more weight than les (assuming the MVP voting was accurate, which sometimes it isn't, but usually it is).
All star MVP is absolutely meaningless.
Why? Because the media has more credibility than fans? Many fans have played the game whereas most reg season MVP voters haven't. All MVP awards are nothing but biased popularity contests even much so that Larry Bird was willing to give all his back because Kobe hadn't won one....![]()
Flawed logic has become the norm in sports today. How does Nash win an MVP during a year when Kobe destroyed the league? He was considered the best player on what was considered the best team... that didn't win a championship I might add. How does Malone when an MVP when Jordan had a better season? He was considered the best player on what was considered the best team. This happens often. If the MVP award held any credibility it would be given to the best player in the league, but that's not always the case. Where is this years MVP? At home brushing his nappy ass hair. I'm not changing the subject... just simply highlighting how lame it is to compare a guy that wins regular season awards to a guy that wins les. The best player has nothing to do with who has the best stats either. It's simply an eye test while watching two teams go head to head. Durant may have had better numbers but when it mattered most Duncan flexed his muscles. That's how I judge the best player. And in the era of the 2000's, Kobe flexed his muscles more than anyone.
I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR THE OPINIONS OF NERDS WHO CAST VOTES!!! But I do respect the opinions of legends.

"On the Dan Patrick Show today on AM 570 KLAC Larry Bird was asked what his opinion is about Kobe Bryant. He said that he is the best in the league and has been for quite a long time. He also stated that he is very surprised that Kobe has not won MVP so far and that after all Kobe has done, if he doesn't end up winning one than he might as well throw all of his away."

From 2001-2011 I never saw a better player in the league. Sure there are guys that had better numbers at times, but Kobe was the Gold standard. If you can't come to terms with that now then you will once he retires.
Black people that aren't from Califiornia and still like Kobe are embarrassing, tbh..
