for ths spurs to win this series is attacking down low or attacking the rim

ginoboli did a good job tonight attacking the rim, but still wreckless balling here and there should be limited...

why is he trying to split 2 defenders going down the middle every possession, this aint fkn 2005....

those +20 turnovers, stop with t he extra passes looking for an easier shot, how closer to the rim do you want to get, if ur open release it without regret....green taking 2-3 straight possessions chucking to get going will hurt us if he doesnt hit them, same with enrique....

diaw should be dominating this series since no one on the heat can defend his craftiness with the ball besides his countrymen....this clown needs to be more aggressive if its to be a sure win, same with splitter, more aggressive balling....the heat have basically played into the spurs hand by force to play big, there bigs are scrubs anyway who cant hang with the spurs, i dont think the spurs have a problem if they were to go small against them, just better lineups and closing quarters.......
Getting stops is pointless if you cannot score, so players have to shoot to score. Green takes those shots because it's gets him sighted in. It paid off later. You don't want him having to sight in in a last second attempt at a 3, you want it in earlier in the game. Doing so on a fast break when he's 1 or 2 or 3 and they allow space at the arc is fine with me. It's a turnover and odds are we set up and maybe don't even score. A shot is better than a turnover.

yeah, this is why i hate the "the spurs turnovers didn't really cost them because the heat didn't score that many points off turnovers" rhetoric we saw upstairs earlier today. it doesn't matter if the heat did or didn't score, but 23 turnovers is basically 23 shots we didn't take. even if we only made a putrid 40% of those (we shot 59% for the game, but i'm lowballing), thats 5-6 buckets. what was a really close game with 5 minutes left could have been a double digit lead.

i know you aren't going to be turnover free against the Heat, but forfeiting shot attempts when your team is nearly scoring at will is just a killer. glad we got out of game 1

Now imagine if those 22 turnovers came consecutively. 22 fluke shots > 22 turnovers.

game 6 last year, what do you prefer or who to blame...
    a) 8 turnovers or
    b) taking consecutive possessions to finish with 6-24, if you remove 2 made baskets thats 4-22 for enrique

remember ginos 8 turnovers had no effect on the game as the spurs was always in control and maintain a comfortable lead,

thats when enrique came back into the game and started hero mode allowing the heat back into the game, he made sure the game will go into OT by not attempting to jump block gayrays 3pt attempt

20misseds shots but giving up baskets on the other end is just as crazy as 20turnovers with no baskets during those runs is devasting blow to get going, cant allow momentum to change hands that quick

Anyone else think there was too much premature celebrating after game 1? Spurs won game 1 last year and 6 happened. You have to win 4 games. I do think the game 2 winner wins the championship this year.

If spurs win game 2, it means they have figured out miami without the excuse of the a/c and lebronda leaving..

no spurs fans are celebrating as if they won the series yet. its always a good thing to win game 1... just because we were up 1-0 last year and lost doesn't change that. it's not like we'd prefer to start 0-1 just because last year didn't work out

spurfan is also happy because Manu actually looks good, and Splitter was having a positive impact, two things that didn't happen last year and could have a big effect on the rest of the series if it keeps up

    Rewatching Game 1.

Hilarious exchange between Van Gundy & Jackson. Jeff attempts to argue if he is the opposing coach, he wants the Heat to be full strength. Mark responds in bewilderness "You rather have James on the court?"

Embarrassing holier than thou stance by Van Gundy. In 5-10+ years people won't remember the cir stances of how you won a Championship.

    I remember posting that article.

    ..
Lebron would absolutely murder this in a fight, tbh..

I'm willing to bet any amount of money I have that Lebron beats him easily, tbh..

To be fair though, Sonnen is right, Lebron probably would run away..why would he want to fight a guy that enjoys rolling around half naked with other men, tbh?..

some good quotes in that thread:

Everyone knows LeBron can't fight for , tbh. Just like Goldberg getting hammered by Chris Jericho. Chael would woop his ass in the ring.
Lebron gets no respect because of how much of a he is

So are your Spurs' fans ready? You nervous? I think Lebron is gonna go off. He is the most insecure player in NBA history and he has to show everyone that he is a big boy. I expect him to get at least 30 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 blocks. Book it.
