Mugen in TD21 mode. take this over.![]()
Diaw is gonna have to start and the Spurs are gonna have to go small for whenever he's not in the game. No more of that Bonner cameo and have Splitter/Duncan combo eat up the first 4mins of each half tbh.
Lebron just hit another three......
Spurs are mad, Pop is mad so as long as he doesn't play Belli, we can go take this right back. Spurs in five isn't out of the question, especially considering that Manu seems to play well every other game so Tuesday could be his night.
bonner was a +3 in his minute tbh![]()
We got this series. Don't worry.
What's the W/L for Mugen game threads? SpurPadre lost his luck I suppose.
Bottom line is the pace was too slow, Spurs need to really run them out of the building... Not easy when Lebron makes everything but still that's the idea... Quicker pace, better rotations and better offensive execution...
Also the Spurs didn't play inside out anymore in this game, they got owned by Miami's defense, we have to dominate in the paint... Better spacing with Boris starting can help with that.
But it was so disheartening to give it right back like that with these ty rotations featuring Beli so much... Hopefully they're not feeling down or anything...
Spurs need game 3... If they lose they're trailing and have a chance to fall to 1-3, we can't have that.
Agreed. I think we'll see it in one of these games. Pop didn't adjust last series until game 5 when he saw OKC at full strength and got a real grasp of what they wanted to do. Game 1 was a little weird, there was no real flow to the game. I would look for some adjustment in one of these games.
They also need to figure out a counter for the P&R involving Parker getting switched onto Lebron
The more I think about the idea to simply take Kawhi off Lebron the more I like it...
Seriously why not...
Green on Lebron as the primary defender - when he finally gets comfortable in the low post we switch Diaw on him, basically it's make him adapt his offense mid game whereas he can do the same thing to both Kawhi and Boris...
Kawhi on Wade to start the game - shut down their second option and it gives the Spurs more freedom to use him as a small ball 4, something they're reluctant to do due to the current defensive assignments...
Boris on Bosh to start the game - Bosh has completely torched Splitter so far, can't be worse.
Tim Tiago
Boris Kawhi
Kawhi Green
Green Manu
TP Mills
8 men rotation... No defensive liability (Mills can at least get some steals here and there)... Defensive assignments that give us a change to at least take Bosh and Wade out of the series and to hamper their ball movement with Kawhi playing the passing lanes more... Even if they're not comfortable with Green as the primary Lebron defender he can at least be the secondary defender allowing Boris to start.
The 1-3 Screen n Roll was Miami's bread n butter play throughout the 2nd half last night. Credit to them as there really isn't a way to defend that unless you switch Parker off onto Allen and have Green/Manu cover Chalmers.
The next two games will really tell us whether the Spurs are committed to completing their mission to right last years wrong or whether all the hard work they did to get here was done in vain.
No doubt in my mind Spurs will come out focused and take 1 or both in Miami. We're just a better team tbh.
We got this. We are going to rebound from last night's setback and re-take the series lead.

No way the Spurs win in Miami. Miami in 5.
I remember really wanting a Mugen grill for my TSX.
