    Only P&A's blame the officiating
you're quoting an old fart who jumped on the Lakers bandwagon precisely because things were tilted in their favor.

If you want to blindly ignore that it has an impact on the game, that's on you. Its not THE reason they lost, but it affected it. Don't try to sell that it didn't.

You do know that if you constantly drive at someone, you'll get the call more often than not right? Doesn't matter if it's a soft as foul. Does anyone not remember Montae a few series ago? Same exact problem and hole in the Spurs defense!
3 of Kawhi's 6 fouls were utter trash, one was a foul on Lewis that called a charge.... one was a touch foul where he didnt even touch Lebron, and the sixth foul in the final minute was a travel and out of control drive by James that got called a foul when Kawhi didnt touch him, Miami lead stretched to 3, Kawhi fouled out, game over

You could be right... MIA was up 3-1 on Indy and Game 5 was the game Lebron was in foul trouble all game

but would the league risk a Heat 3peat for ratings? Adam Silver knows if LBJ loses one more finals he'll never be in the GOAT discussion.

Spurs ain't getting ref help these next 2 games. Why? Bill Kennedy, Ed Malloy, and Tony Brothers have yet to make an appearance
spurs won in okc with brothers. quit making excuses before the games even start

Refs didn't cause the missed free throws, the lack of offensive rebounding down the stretch, and a few key turnovers.
They sure took out our best defender on Lebroom to give that easy way to score! Those refs sucked big time! No way would the spurs lose if Kawhi wasn't in foul trouble! Rigged big time!

What was the best way to make the Miami/Indiana series go six games...perhaps 5 fouls on LeBron and 24 minutes played in GM 5? Nah...the refs have no control. Its totally legit.

surprised more people don't bring that up. that was the most obvious example of the league extending a series in awhile. normally Lebron is allowed to play very physical D, then they suddenly call him for it to make it 6 games.

same with last night, call a bunch of ticky tack on our best defenders, enter Belinelli, and you added even more uncertainty and drama to the proceedings.

The officiating was relatively even. 21 FT's for Miami, 20 for the Spurs. Both teams called for 20 fouls. You better come up with a better excuse.

Excuse? It ain't no excuse. Refs just gave those ers ghost calls, ticky tack fouls, and fell for flops... On the other side, Heat were playing as physical as they wanted

KAWHI NEVER FOULED OUT OF A GAME IN HIS CAREER!!! And Manu+Green were in foul trouble all game, leading to Bellineli's ass getting 25+ minutes

You're not that ignorant. You just like to act like you are. Its when they're called and who they're called on that matters. Adding them up at the end to see if it's a match is stupid. Try again.

Except some of those were bad in favor of the Spurs as well. You just remember the ones against the Spurs as most homers do.

The Spurs best 3 perimeter defenders were in foul trouble for most of the game. A bad call here or there does not concern me. Impacting a teams aggressiveness and ability to defend does. I saw it happen in to Miami in GM 5 of their series against Indiana. Is that homerism? Pay attention.

Lebron and Wade are incredibly aggressive. You gotta guard knowing they are trying to get a foul on you.

Like what? The Lebron tech? So what, didn't remotely change the course of the game like the Wade flop and foul on Gino, or his trash jump into a defender.

The Tim Tech was actually terrible as well, it gave Miami, I believe, their first lead of the night.

That flop totally changed momentum. We just regained the lead and were up 3. Manu sits we end the half tied. MOMENTUM Miami.

    This is indisputable, imo.

Jason Phillips was a wretched ref in that game, imo.

Not the refs fault Parker and Duncan couldn't make their free throws.

And you're just quick to put the blame on everyone else but the Spurs themselves.

Play better defense, simple as that (well you could just let him go to the hoop every time and leave him alone).

They may have been trash but Kiwi was put in that position. That still doesn't explain the lid on the basket on the other end.

As much as it pains me to agree with a Mavs fan, this is where it is. The game changing moment came right after Duncan clanked his 2 FT. Go into their own heads it seemed. That being said the officiating has been terrible in the playoffs. Everyone sees it. The NBA has maybe 3-4 quality refs and the rest are .

Bingo. This is where the game turned.
