Did Ted Cruz Just Learn He Is a Canadian Citizen?

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slate...er_jcr:content

If Ted Cruz became a "natural-born Citizen" at birth because his mother was a U.S. citizen, then Barack Obama also became a "natural-born Citizen" at birth because his mother was a U.S. citizen. They can't have it both ways. If it doesn't matter where Cruz was born, then it doesn't matter where Obama was born. For years, they have harassed Obama with false claims that he had been born in Kenya. Now that we have clear evidence one of their boys actually WAS born elsewhere, suddenly it doesn't matter.
    Who's they?

So if I bang a Japanese woman in Japan and we have the kid in Japan and we don't move back to America until the kid is like 15 or 16 years old, my kid can run for president of America when he is older? I thought you had to be a native born American to be president. That means you have to be born on American soil. It doesn't matter if your parents are Americans, they aren't running for president.

Ted Cruz Sabotages The Republican Campaign to Defund and Stop Obamacare

By admitting on CNN’s State of the Union that he helps Texans sign up for Obamacare, Sen. Ted Cruz has sabotaged the GOP effort to defund the ACA with a government shutdown.

CANDY CROWLEY: Will you, or have you helped those people?

SEN. TED CRUZ: You know, we have not been getting significant calls in that regard. We have been getting significant calls from people saying please stop Obamacare. Please stop this train wreck.

CROWLEY: Would you help someone who called and said I wanted to sign up?

CRUZ: Look, we have a major cons utent services operation that helps anyone dealing with the government.

CROWLEY: That includes signing up for something that you don’t believe in?

CRUZ: Oh sure, sure. It’s the job of someone representing. You know, I’m honored to represent 26 million Texans, and dealing with the government is inherently frustrating, it’s inherently confusing and one of the things our office takes very seriously is trying to help Americans deal with the government.

“Because it’s not working and it’s hurting Americans,” Cruz insisted. “And by the way, the people that it’s hurting the most are the most vulnerable among us are the more vulnerable among us. The people who are losing their jobs are young people, are Hispanics, are African-Americans, are single moms. I don’t think that’s fair, I don’t think that’s right.”

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, 500,000 young African-Americans and 913,000 Latinos have already benefited from Obamacare because they have been allowed to stay on their parents’ health care plans. Additionally, 6.8 million African-Americans and 10.8 million Latinos will have opportunities to buy coverage through health care exchanges.

Canada-born U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has renounced his birth country’s citizenship, making good on his promise to do so from last summer.

Spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said the tea party favorite formally gave up his citizenship May 14 — and officially received confirmation of the action at his Houston home on Tuesday.

Cruz was born in Alberta, Canada, in 1970. The possible 2016 presidential candidate says the fact that his mother is American makes him eligible for the White House.

The story was first reported by the Dallas Morning News. The newspaper also broke that Cruz had dual Canadian-U.S. citizenship when he released his birth certificate in August.

Dave Brat won a republican primary in an off year election. Hardly comparable to a bid for POTUS

And no one saw it coming. How could this not even be on the radar of Cantor's camp?

Gerrymandering biting the GOP in the ass.

If Cruz get the republican nomination, Wall Street and every moderate in this country fall in line behind Hillary.

What I'd love to see is Warren v Cruz. Not gonna happen.

Nader should run again. Apparently he's trying to bring the far left and libertarians together through their joint hatred of corporatism.

libertarians are unadulterated frauds, just like VRWC-financed tea baggers. Their wet dreams of small govt and deregulation are also the wet dreams of corporatocracy.
