..to future NFL rosters, these black QB's. All ranked in the top six.

1.Jameis Winston FSU...can't ignore his immaturity and lack of awareness of his situation.
3.Braxton Miller Ohio St...going for his third Big10 offensive player of the year award.
    5.Brent Huntley UCLA...the total package
6.Nick Marshall ND...he's the one I do doubt has a future as an NFL QB. Will probably play another position. Oviously doesn't have an NFL arm.

I can see two of the four making it. Just not sure which two....yet.

What we are seeing is more HS teams going with that athletic QB, a cat who can hurt ya with his arm and feet, extend the play. Obviously that means more colleges recruiting those kinds of QB's. And where does the NFL get it's QB?

    Hmmmmm?

Solomon Butler was a black long jumper/sprinter in 1923, he'd also play in the NFL. He was a fullback/halfback/QB.

We have no stats from way back then but it appears we had a speedy black NFL QB some 90 years ago.

Butler was a WR holder in the long jump and a HS record holder in the 60. No NFL QB since was as notable in track.

Ok ok I 'm not sure he actually played QB in the NFL. Just thought it would make a good story if he did.

    A 5-8 185 pounder.

I think Huntley is the only one with a chance of making it in the NFL.

I see him as the most successful as an NFL QB of those I mentioned.

I agree up to this point in time. That doesn't mean things can't change.

The world saw the difference between an athlete playing QB vs a great pocket passer in the Superbowl. It made an impact. We are seeing it at the high school level, teams with that multi talented QB. The days of standing tall in the pocket are coming to an end.

My point was with defenses being as quick as they are today you need a QB with some escapism ability. One that can move around a bit, someone who can extend a play. No these guys can't just stand back there any longer with 5.0 flat 40 speed and no escapabilty. Yes.....the goal is to stand tall in the pocket....that's just not reality any longer.

You bring in Johnny Manzeil to stand all in the pocket?
