Although the Spurs are in the same position they were last year, up 2-1 in the Finals, this year is a much more favorable situation. In 2013, they had to play games 4-7 in the format Home-Home-Road-Road, which put a lot of pressure on them to win both games 4 and 5 (which they did not). In 2014, games 4-7 are in the format Road-Home-Road-Home, which is much better. Now they can afford to lose game 4 and still have 2 potential home games left to play.
