Because of the 2006 Finals free throws that made Wade a superstar overnight.
I don't understand. Can someone break down the argument?
Stephen A Smith thinks DWade is Top 50 All Time....
Parker is drinking wine all the time and while he's chubby he's doing more than DWade these days...
Manu at 37 is similar to a much more athletic to begin with 32 year old.
Because of the 2006 Finals free throws that made Wade a superstar overnight.
Because Wade is American and Gino and Parker are not... tbh...

When Wade was in his prime, he was a cold-blooded baller and was better than prime Parker and prime Manu. The problem is that his prime didn't last very long. The PED's took their toll. Due to longevity as great/very good players, Parker and Manu should be considered better all time than Wade. But if the argument is that Wade at his best is better than Parker/Manu at their best, then it's Wade.
no
09 Wade was a monster
30.2 ppg, 7.5 assists, 5 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 1.2 blocks per game
Dude did get freebies in 06' , but was an all time SG in his prime.
Manu was never considered a top 3 or top 5 player in the league
Wade is a top 5 SG of all time. Manu was the rank 3 shooting guard during his generation for like 5 years behind Kobe and Wade. Huge ing difference.
In his prime, Manu was like a rank 15-20 player in the league while Wade was in the top 5 or 10.
I won't disagree with this, but prime Manu was pretty damn athletic in his own right....plus he could shoot the 3 and dish it. I'd still take prime Wade but it's closer than you'd think.
how is he not top 50 all time? put up ridiculous numbers as a #1 option throughout his career until superfriends and won multiple rings...great 2 way player and one of the best defensive 2 guards of all time. the advanced metrics check out too..there literally isn't an argument that can be made against wade being top 25 all time at the very LEAST.
manu is a great 2nd banana or even third at times on a championship team...wade was a #1 franchise player before superfriends. you can't even compare the two...and jacob you must have suffered a heat stroke out there pushing those target carts in that 110 degree texas sun because wade was already a superstar before 2006. 04-05 he put up ridiculous numbers and was an all star...dude pretty much was obviously a great player from the time he first stepped onto an nba court.
but yes it probably is a lot closer than people think..manu was great in his own right. highly underrated as a play maker and clutch scorer. just not a guy to shoulder the load for 48 minutes.
realistically speaking, the only way Manu could have put himself in that discussion if if he left San Antonio and established himself as a #1 option. he was always held back playing the 6th man role
How about his previous days?
If Kobe Bryant is top 10, Wade certainly gets into top 50, nothing weird about it.
