you may have answered this before Elnono, but I just would like know
if Manu had gone to another team, would you have followed him or the Spurs?

I watch a lot of NBA games, not just the Spurs, so it's easier to track guys like Nocioni, Scola, Delfino, Prigioni, etc... doubt it would've been much different with Gino if he would've gone somewhere else.

I started following the NBA frequently in the mid 90's, around the time MJ came back, when I moved to Portland, OR. Around that time I became a big fan of DRob and the Spurs.

tbf, I didn't even know much about Manu until the 2002 Worlds in Indianapolis. Didn't even know the Spurs drafted him in 1999. Doubt the Spurs knew he would become so good either.

EDIT: Expanding on the first point, I remember following Pepe Sanchez and Wolkowitzki when they played in the Wizards and the Sonics before Manu made a big splash in the league. That was in 2000, IIRC. Not a fan, just watching the games. They didn't play a lot then.

    1, 2 more years...

Make it happen. 100m/3yrs for the best Spur.

Manu's es, those he has owned, year, after year, after year, would meltdown in epic proportions in this forum.

I started following Argie players more when they eventually made it to the league, because it was such a rarity, and frankly, historical for a country without strong basketball tradition.

I really like the game. I used to watch the Nash's Suns a lot the days the Spurs didn't play

SSOL was fun to watch even if it didn't lead to anything.

yeah I've never felt worse as a Spurs fan than when I was arguing with Suns fans during the Nash era...

The best part is at the 3:04 mark, 4 Spurs help Ginobili off the floor and 3 or them subsequently give him a good a job tap on the ass. What a frickin supportive group.

Amazing Spur, over shadowed by the greatness of TD and the status of TP, but the one player you want the ball in his hands at the end of a close game.
We have such an amazing team from top to bottom.
Maybe the best Spur team of all times IMHO.

I like how the video follows Manu's family-centric ways.

Most short clips of this nature usually start off with the player's nice moves for 90% of the content, followed by some nice quotes from them, wrapping up with a family picture.

A common trait of Manu's writings has always been how he talks about his family as the most important support behind his indomitable desire to win, followed by relationships with Timmy, Parker, and Pop.

I would love it if Manu played so great tonight that he became the overwhelming consensus choice for FMVP.
