The future.
James was still great this series. I don't think Kawhi outplayed him though. I do think that he matched up really well and negated an awful lot of what James was doing out there by taking it to him on the other end. It was a gutsy display and he went to work. If he had been on the floor more the first two games, a MUCH stronger case could be made for Leonard. Still proud and one of an accomplishment for Leonard. The best part about Leonard, is that he can still get better. Well done Leonard!!!
& that is the mantra going forward. Cowherd (and every affiliate along the line) will beat on that drum tomorrow morning on orders from CT. via NYC/Stern II. They will not forsake James. Not after the back-to-back. That made himPERIOD
I can't disagree with you on that.
det pull up 3 in transition for the lead
Spurs never looked back after that. The rest is history....
Manu holding up his left hand while everyone else holds up their right.
I need to owe up to my remarks that he would never be more than Bruce Bowen on offense.
I am completely wrong... he will be a star in this league on the Paul George level (he's already surpassed him, he's far more consistent).
Trolling per par
Congrats on the chip, but let's not get carried away
No way he outplayed James. But I think he was the second best player this series.
George is more polished, but he's also a year older and has two seasons of being the main option. Those touches help development. Leonard is the better defender, and pretty efficient at scoring. he doesn't shoot the ball 20 times a game but sits in the 10-15 range and still puts up 20 pts. The gap isnt' as big as it used to be.. that's for sure.
Game 5 stats
Lebron
10-21, 31 pts 10 reb 5 ast
Leonard
7-10, 22 pts 10 reb 2 ast
That's pretty efficient.
Thanks, but it's a little misguided to think that he won't become a star in the league... not many Finals MVPs end up being busts in the league after they won FMVP. Kawhi will be a star in the league... He showed a lot this postseason.
When's the last time Paul George won anything relevant?
your boy...
