I also liked how Wade had to scrape himself off the floor. He hit the ground pretty hard.
No, you are allowed to block a shot if its on the backboard. You just aren't allow to touch it after it leaves the backboard. You must be young. Hakeem, Mutombo, Mourning, Robinson, Shaq, etc. had many a blocks like this back in the day.
Just rare to see a block like this in today's NBA.

No goaltend. He blocked it before it even hit the backboard. Disappointing to hear the commentators last night (JVG, Mike Breen, and Mark Jackson) call it a goaltend. It wasn't.

Agreed. It has been minimized because his role was severely reduced in favor of Diaw in the finals. But during the earlier rounds he was outstanding.
