I hope they'll stream the whole thing online live.
overwriting that bad memory with a good one. seems perfect.
Any website that have stream live ?
I might not be able to drive up after all. I second Slomo's comment.
Spurs.com will be streaming it, and FSN will be airing it - hopefully the FSSW feed here in Austin airs it!
So what's everyone's plan for those that are going? Anyone have a favorite spot to set up at the river? Anyone go to bars on the river and hang out there beforehand?
The Spurs gave me assigned seats for the alamodome parade. I don't remember them doing that in years past.
Yes!!!
SA deserves it, i remember last year when the spurs arrived at the airport and the fans were still waiting there cheering for the spurs
Can't wait to watch it (via streaming!)
So jealous of you SA natives. Cheer for all of us!
I might hit up the Alamodome. I wonder what time I should get there for good seats..
Been to all of them since 2003 and will be driving down from Austin tomorrow!
On my guide, from 6-9pm FSSW has "Big 12 Showcase", Texas A&M Preview, and a MLB game. Is FSSW yet to update their stuff or is something off?
(Sorry for the noob-ish comment, I just don't want to miss this.)
Mind if I pick your brain?
Do you go to the river parade and the alamodome? Is there time for both?
What is a good time (as late as possible) to go to alamodome and still get good seats?
I'm going to the Alamodome. Last Championship celebration I've been to was in 2003. I didn't have a way of going in 2005 and 2007, so I'm pumped for this one this time around. At the Alamodome you can also view the River parade there on the big screen. I'll be driving to SA from Del Rio tomorrow morning..![]()
I'm watching it on TV.
Will be streaming it, I want ST'ers attending to be holding a sign with their username on it tbh.
There is time for both technically though I've never been to the parade. The thing with the parade is you have to get there pretty damn early to get a good spot otherwise you can't see . If you go to the Alamodome first you get a great seat in the air conditioning and get to watch the parade on the screens in there. Then all of a sudden the parade you were just watching comes rolling into the dome via buses and the Spurs get up on stage and all talk. Plus they've always had the concession stands open, etc. As far as getting good seats, there really aren't any terrible seats in the dome but obviously the earlier you get there the closer you can be.
Thats 6pm in SA, right?
I'd probably do both if it were just me and nothing to slow me down. But with 3 kids? Eh, I think I'll just kick it at the Alamodome and wait for the parade to come to us.
How were you assigned seats for the alamodome celebration?
