George. I will give Leonard the edge on the defensive side. George is appalling on defense.
Inspired by Beta Durant aka the Servant aka Russ' . Who you got tbh ?
George. I will give Leonard the edge on the defensive side. George is appalling on defense.
It's cir stantial, tbh.
As much as I love Leonard, I think if you put George under Pop's tutelage he winds up a notch above Leonard. Leonard will always be better on defense as Luva said, but all around George would probably wind up the better player.
That said, the Spurs know what they have in Leonard. He is the perfect for them. So as players straight up...George is a little better...but if I'm choosing one for my team I'll take Leonard as the better fit for the team the Spurs currently have.
Paul George is a Chucker, once a chucker always a chucker, and theres no way a chucker can be better than Leonard especially if his defense doesn't come close.
The only real advantage I will give Kawhi is his at ude. Kawhi will do what it takes to win, whatever role that is. I don't see the same mindset in George. At least, not now.
George used to have Kawhi's mindset and was a very good defender. Then he became the face of the franchise and got way too much undeserved hype.
I hope Kawhi is mentally stronger than that, because he is on the same path.
George is a more talented player, tbh..better passer, better shooter and slightly better defender IMO..Leonard is a better post player, though, and a better small-ball 4..
I don't think George can play in a system, though, based on his at ude and mentality..he seems very emotional and mentally weak, and his ego is already huge..I don't think I would want a that got cucked online by a random sexual to be the star of my team, tbh..
What if shmut if, PG is so weak-minded to the point where he seems like a liability if he isn't scoring. If Kawhi's shot isn't falling, you can be damn well sure he's doing whatever he can to win the game.
When Kawhi is an option, their scoring isn't too far off. Add in Kawhi's intelligence, composure, efficiency and hustle - then you have my answer.
However, I wish George was on a team like the Lakers. I'd love to see these two young forwards duke it out time and time again.
Right now it's George. He has a year on Leonard, not to mention a situation where he can showcase himself on a nightly basis
To sum it up, Paul George seems very irresponsible. Due to players being human, I find that their off court problems will definitely affect their on court performance. I have yet to hear anything at all for that matter about off court problems.
Example of an off court mess..........Dwight Howard in a nuts .
George is a volume shooter with a ty FG%. He's a much better ball handler and athlete though. I'd take Kawhi over George on determination and heart alone.
I think George would be considered the undisputed 3rd best player in the league if he was playing on the Spurs.

kawhi..
i think we've seen everything george has to offer and we know what to expect from him. on the other hand, we still haven't seen what all kawhi has to offer and its already more than what i expected. hei is improving every year and has the GOAT coach and HOF players around him so he soaks up waaaay more knowledge. chip has changed his shooting mechanics and now he's shooting with confidence from all over the court. george is better now but kawhi will surpass him very soon.
Paul George in a vacuum.
But if Im building a team, a winning team, I choose the Finals MVP. Kawhi Leonard is probably already more successful than Paul George will ever be tbh
I'll take Kawhi. George has better tangibles, but he seems like the type who got into basketball because he's black, athletic and tall. Plus he likes the money and es. The fact he grew up wanting to be Kobe is also a bad sign.
Kawhi seems more like he needs the game, or it's an extension of him. He seems more about winning than George.
Harlem cementing his Poster of the Playoffs award tbh.........
George was as responsible as Hibbert for the Pacers' implosion. No ing way I'd want that got over Leonard.
PG seems to be all about what the game can do for him....money, hoes, endorsements, etc. Haven't watched him closely but it's the impression i get from their games and the way he's handled himself off the court so far.....
Kawhi seems to genuinely just wanna play basketball and not want to deal with the other BS surrounding it.
George is much more naturally talented but the at ude is what ends up separating players in the long run tbh so I'll go with Kawhi moving forward.
You folks talking about George's personality have to realize that if he would have landed on the Spurs as a rookie, Pop would have worked on those things.
Let's compare their third years
Kawhi:
2013-14 22 SAS NBA SF 66 65 29.1 5.1 9.8 .522 1.0 2.8 .379 4.1 7.0 .579 1.5 1.9 .802 1.2 5.1 6.2 2.0 1.7 0.8 1.2 1.9 12.8
George:
2012-13 ★ 22 IND NBA SF 79 79 37.6 6.2 14.9 .419 2.2 5.9 .362 4.1 8.9 .457 2.8 3.5 .807 1.1 6.5 7.6 4.1 1.8 0.6 2.9 2.9 17.4
Kawhi didn't even have an off season to work on his game either. This summer he'll be working with Team USA, and that one guy who trained MJ, Kobe, Wade, etc. I forgot his name but there's a thread on it.
Right now, if Kawhi was put into a #1 option role, I don't see he wouldn't flourish. He can shoot from anywhere, attack the basket, post up, drive and kick, etc. I'm assuming he'll work on ball handling over the summer. He definitely has a brighter future than the chucking loser Paul George. 41%?? Geez
bump
Is Kawhi already better than George ever was?
didntn pg benefitted from the granger trade, which allowed him more touches....if the spurs fo had a brain...get rid of enrique and u see the game open up not only for kawhi, but everyone
