How about the Lakers try build from the ground up and develop players now?

With the new CBA, the NBA is now about rewarding front office competence rather than how deep their pockets are.

I think the Lakers gave up too quickly on players like Goudelock and Earl Clark.

They're/we're still in a state of shock. When you're used to (better) it is difficult to change, to step down into the melee. It is incomprehensible to the subconscious. Sure, you get the legal papers and you know what IT MEANS, but, your mind will not accept it, cannot accept. Like being mugged in the streets, you're in a state of physical shock. That's us, we've never known "poverty." Never stood in line before. We'd make a mistake and could walk away from it without even looking back at the wreck in our wake. Just start over and all it cost was 2 for 1. It was like Xmas every day.
