I thought Patty's speech was borderline cringe-worthy. He had a bunch of awkward pauses, most of his opening speech fell flat, and no one seemed to find him very funny. I also hated the fact he didn't acknowledge Pop, he actually put him down. Needling a guy is one thing, but to basically skip him is terrible. You've got the bring the energy when mc'ing something of this magnitude and Patty didn't really do it. Using the word 'pansy' to describe someone, even though it has a different meaning in Australia, was a huge misstep.

    Sheesh, what a disappointment.

Anywhere I can check out some footage online?

Actually, putting up a torrent of footage on Davka would be awesome if someone would do that.

Patty was definitely trashed. Pretty sure Manu was as well. All Manu's nonverbals and speech patterns signaled drunkenness.

Patty was great, looks like he takes everything super serious, hopefully he's back next season. Tim w/ his kids... man I hope that's not the end but the kids tour is a very telling sign but maybe it's so that they know why he enjoys playing so much. Tony did look tired, new born and partying doesn't mix. Can't wait for next season but gonna savor this moment.

Was disappointing. LOL at all the lazy fatasses who were too AC-dependent to go to the river parade and sat in the arena all night

I know what you mean and maybe the aussie could have made it a little more emotional. But I thought he had some good parts. Who else couldve done a better job? It could not have been one of the big three or Kawhi and no one else can really hold a room. Patty had to do it.

Yeah, TP was definitely happy. He's just now getting started on fully experiencing fatherhood now and it can be taxing. He's aight.

I vividly remember Avery doing this in 99 and Patty was far better. My kids got a kick out of his accent.

I'm AC and TV-dependent, but I stayed at home to avoid the lazy fatasses.

There's only 5 more days until June 23rd, when Duncan will have to decide whether he's coming back or not. So why not use the opportunity to announce whether or not he's coming back in front of the 75K fans that were in the Alamodome tonight? I think if he was coming back he would have said so in front of such an audience. And because he didn't say anything it was probably because he didn't want to bum anyone out during the celebration.

That's not his style. It will probably be one of those things where he releases a statement saying he's coming back or not. I'm leaning towards coming back

If I didn't live 8 hours away I would have made it to the river parade for sure. Pep rally was lame. Patty was the best man for the job, but it fell short.

If the Tim, Manu, and Pop all retire, it's all good because of 5

Or that he hates speaking in public, and only did so because he was forced to

This is getting a lot of coverage outside of Texas. I presume the Oklahoma papers will have headlines along the lines of:

SPURS VICTORY PARADE A SUCCESS (Kevin Durant Blames System)
