When asked about the new nickname that Shaq gave him, kawhi said that it was better than his current nickname, "the claw"
But it's not the same as from Liar, Liar.

I was rolling during the parade when Kawhi clowned Corey Joseph's goofy ass response when Sean asked about how he was feeling after winning the championship. Corey said "words can't even explain" - but sounded like a mexican re when he said it. Kawhi took the mic and mimicked his ass for sounding re ed.

Fast forward to the 2:00 mark:

Yea, thanks. I get irked everytime people say "the claw". It's ridiculous. When they asked Kawhi about the dumbass nickname Sugar K they also mentioned the "claw" and Kawhi seemed as if he hadn't heard it. I haven't seen any video where he actually talks about it like other people are currently calling him that. There is nothing about the wrist-holding gesture that looks remotely like "the claw", and even if it did, I doubt people are getting it from the movie "Liar Liar", as if that's the only source ever for a hand-formed into claws. Wasn't the original incarnation an old WWF wrestler that used to do that? He would do the claw onto someone's face, then pick them up and slam them down with it...

I forgot about that interview. He obviously hated "the claw"

I think it's going to be awesome to have a hand gesture instead of a nickname.

Can you imagine in the years to come 18,000 people in ATT doing the hand signal when Kawhi makes a play?

No one else has a hand signal!

They really need to put out a Leonard shirt with the hand gesture. I'm guessing it will probably happen now that there has been so much talk about it.
