OrangeBloods saying Texas is working on setting up one more summer camp.
This one should be in mid-July, on a Friday night and in DKR. Sounds like an invite only event.
4 star CB Kris Boyd is interviewed by 24/7 after Tech camp:
Raider players are hitting him hard on twitter to come to Lubbock, but he seems pretty high on UT.

Also, I don't know if anyone officially reported this, but WR DaMarkus Lodge and LB Richard Moore have decided to push back their commitment announcement after taking more visits.
Per 24/7, both RB D'Onta Foreman and DT Poona Ford are scheduled to enroll at UT for the second summer session.
Foreman's issue is grades and/or additional high school classes, but there isn't anything definitive on Ford at this point.
TE CJ O'Grady of Fayetteville, AR has committed to Arkansas. Shocker.

2016 QB Messiah deWeaver of Trotwood, OH committed to Michigan today.

Well, that's pretty big.
I'm still in disbelief that he was basically a silent commit to Texas before Wyatt left and then refused to visit once he was fired.
Per 24/7, QB Will Collins of Lawton, OK will be in Austin tomorrow for an unofficial visit.

24/7 mentioned this morning that the offer to OL Tyler Moore is possibly a grey shirt.
I'll post once they confirm.
Aggsy has a pretty stout class going.
Back when Texas was killing it in recruiting, what I remember happening was Oklahoma and Aggsy would basically give up on the current year and concentrate on the next years class. It worked well for Oklahoma in 2008 when they got commits from RJ Washington, Steven Good, and Jeremy Calhoun.
Maybe that is what Texas needs to do, concentrate on 2016.
The silver lining is ags are poised to have a rough year on the field with 5-6 losses most likely which kills momentum. The bad news is Texas will be unlikely to capitalize with schedule and QB situation. Should be lots of losses for both teams.
I'm not taking shots at anybody, but this at ude doesn't strike me as a Strong guy, from ESPN.
"It's just that environment," Lodge said. "It's so laid back there, and they're really not on you too hard ... but when you make the wrong decisions, they will be."
Again, I'm not taking shots, because I know that he is crazy talented and he would have a spot in any recruiting class in the country, it just strikes me as an odd reasoning.
We're getting curb stomped in recruiting. Our only hope is to get off to a fast start in the season and hope the media hypes us up enough to salvage some top prospects from this class. We have landed zero recruits so far in the 2015 Rivals Texas Top 30... surely that can't stand. It might be a first time in the history of the program if it did.
He goes on to say "They don't lie to you about anything. They don't promise you playing time, they don't promise you anything, you have to come in and earn it."
you must be young
Back in 1984 to about 86 that was pretty normal at Texas. We had alumni calling recruits up and telling them don't come to Texas. The Akers staff had such a reputation for being arrogant and no black inner-city kid would give Texas any consideration at all.
It Took Texas 3 coaches to break that stereotype and much of the reason for that change can be attributed to John Mackovic. Mack Brown took it to the next step and owned the state.
If a recruit doesn't want to come to Texas because it's too hard, then I'm willing to let him go to some other school, even someone as talented as Lodge. Texas has had plenty of talented wrs come through that didn't want to work some were 5-star recruits.
This team needs discipline accountability and a killer at ude, it doesn't need kids that think the world revolves around them. We've had those types and they tend to quit when the going gets tough.
Texas will get the kids this year, we aren't going to get shutout of the top 30 kids in Texas, but you better believe that when Texas starts winning Strong is going to attract some of the best from around the country.
We might be flattering ourself here though, I don't know how much I'd take away from one brief off-the-cuff remark, but hopefully you're right. I strongly (no pun intended) support the hiring of Strong, but I got to say I'm disappointed so far. I figured we get a small bump in recruiting based off the excitement of a new coach, but we've gotten crushed instead.
I feel badly for coach Strong getting all these rejections, but again, coaching matters. I bet we could still beat A&M next season. They almost lost to Duke in the Chicken Sandwich Bowl with one of their greatest players ever at the helm.![]()
Don't have time to track down the others, but I'm pretty sure Lodge isn't the first or even second to make similar remarks after committing to Sumlin. Actually, I'm positive he's not the first.
What's your point, though?
Seems like his point is that some of A&M's recruits are not as serious and/or committed to the hard work that needs to be done in school to be great.
That Lodge isn't the first to praise the lax atmosphere at A&M after committing. Of course, that doesn't mean he and the others were afraid of the atmosphere at UT, or that it was the primary reason A&M was chosen over UT. But I'm not up in arms over the loss of a recruit who cites that as a plus.
BINGO
Right now the Proof will be on the field. Texas has a lot of solid players in the system with a lot of talent, I want to know if these workouts are enough to turn them into the team we expect them to be.
A lot has to fall into place for Texas to be great. I feel confident Texas will beat BYU and Baylor. I'm not confident in Oklahoma or UCLA, but I think they can run the table after the Oklahoma game which should put them in a great position to get to a BCS bowl game. Of course that depends on our QB staying healthy.
One other thing I have to say.
I'm completely anti rankings especially rankings of kids who haven't even played in their senior year.
With that said, the Aggsy have currently committed 3 guys from the Rivals 100 list.
Now when Mack was actually winning, Texas normally carried about 7 to 10 from that list Same with schools like Alabama and LSU and USC. Probably throw in FSU and Florida as well.
Now I know they are kicking our ass this year, but only 3 guys when they have 17 already committed and probably won't take but about 4 or 5 more. Not so sure they are doing as well as they think they are.
And before you ags get started, I'm sure you are already better than Texas will end up, so lets get that out of the way. Still when it's all said and done, I'm thinking they might not have as highly ranked class as they think they will.
