2 year/$18m? I mean, Kobe can't even walk and was just handed $48m/2... heck Manu took a on Wade and he's gonna be making $20m next year...

Anyways, here's the schedule for Argentina in the first round:
Aug 30: vs Puerto Rico
Aug 31: vs Croatia
Sep 1: vs Philippines
Sep 3: vs Senegal
Sep 4: vs Greece
Top 4 of each Group move on to the next round.
I hope Manu drops 40 on my country tbh
You're right. At 7M per year, Manu shouldn't even have to suit up before March 1st.
Man with that group, Argentina is going to go far in the tournament. Now way they lose even 1 game against thos scrubs tbh
the biggest obstacle is 5 games in 6 days... especially for an older team... I suspect Lamas is gonna try to win the 1st game (Puerto Rico is probably the most difficult opponent of the group), and then monitor the minutes in the remaining games. They could potentially get to the Greece game already qualified, and would let them rest everybody...
Time to get Evan Turner as insurance![]()
What's Manu's diet like these days? If he's got a good diet, and he keeps to it during the off-season and season, I think that will go a long way in helping his body stay strong. To me, nutrition is very important and I think it makes a huge difference in how long you can play at a high level and stay healthy.
A lot of NBA players seem to have diets and it's no wonder than they break down early and look like total in their early to mid-thirties. You really got to have a good diet if you want as good a chance as possible to stay healthy and keep playing at a high level when you're an older player/athlete.
honestly i dont see anyone on that group beating them but yes you are right 5 games in 6 nights is ridiculous
To be honest, this is a terrible decision. He's holding his team hostage yet again. He should be resting himself for defending this le. He should have passed on the reigns of international basketball 3 years ago. This should be all behind him. Emmanuel still has some growth on his perspective.
reins
I hope he tears his ACL and has to retire.
So true.
Argentina sucks so bad even Mexico won't let 'em in.![]()
Yeah yeah. Its three in the morning and I don't care but thank you. No excuses.
It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic reading the same idiots (and I do not think I need to name 'em) that complained not long ago that Manu was done, Manu sucks, Manu this, Manu that (always negative comments) now they are worried that Manu's playing for Argentina might hurt Spurs chances for 6... make up your ing minds, idiots
Moron.
Manu Plays Too Much ---> Manu/TOSB/Turnobili Sucks ----- KILLS SPURS
Manu Rests --> Manu Tolerable ------ OCCASIONALLY HELPS SPURS
Manu isn't (or any NBA player for that matter) shouldn't be going hard all year only to play again at the highest level over the off season. He really shouldn't need to do this to prove anything to himself or anyone else. He's just won a championship. Manu should be beyond this.
I'm a Manu fan and this is incredibly disappointing. It's idiotic really. You just won a le in part because you punked old ass wade. Now you are going to put more mileage on your aging body with a chance to repeat next year? Selfish.
Hopefully Argentina's coach rests Manu on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
also, can't wait for that Sep. 1 ARG vs PH game.![]()
Why do some people hate Manu Ginobili so much? He did just play a crucial role in winning a championship for our team just a few days ago.
It's also a bit of a contradiction. If you hate Manu (i.e. think he's overrated), then you shouldn't be concerned about him playing in the summer because he's merely a role player for the Spurs now. If you do think his summer activity significantly affects the Spurs, then you clearly think highly of his contribution.
I'm neither a Manu fan nor hater, so I have no stake in that debate. It's just, some of you talk about him as if he raped and murdered your mother, and it's weird and funny.
they're still traumatized by game 6. pussies.
World Cup causing flavor of the month nationalism... lol jk. Good luck Manu
ST just isn't ST without some sort of weekly explosion.
At least we're still on quota.
How much times can Manu Duncan? Tell me... Last year wasn't enough?
