    Baylor...RGIII
    Oklahoma...Sam Bradford
    Oklahoma State....hmmm?
    Texas Tech...hmmm?
Kansas ...John Hadl...he was pretty good as a Charger, in the top 25 in TD passes/yard.
    Kansas State..hmmm?
Texas...Bobby Layne one of the first great QB's, Vince Young
TCU..."Slingin' " Sammy Baugh...the daddy of the forward pass in the NFL...and...still considered one of the greatest punters ever.

    For historical purposes

    Nebraska....hmmm?
    Missouri...hmmmm?

"Slingin" " Sammy and Bobby Layne both Hall of Famers.

That's pretty sad even if we add a couple I missed.

Pac10 has always been a pass first league. How many les did that result in from 1980-present?

Big12 is a fairly young Conference compared to Big 10, Pac & SEC and its already cracking. Anyway the league switched to more passing in the mid 2000s after Nebraska run ended (2001 le Game). Ultimately how many les have they won since or even played for?

Its difficult in CFB to consistently recruit a pro prospect QB and pass protecting lineman.

Obviously the Pac12 is a pass happy league but what school has had more 1000 yard rushers in the NFL than USC?

The old SWC and the Big 8 have been around for ages, that's where the Big12 came from.

SC is certainly Top 3 all time in CFB. IMO they benefited from the culture: LA post civil rights and being a huge fish in small pond. Who did they compete with for athletes? The cold Big 10? "Come to California and bang liberal white girls", this recruiting pitch still doesnt work in many areas of the nation

From 1980 til Pete Carroll came over and cheated the Trojans were just a Top 25 Program and now they are back in their rightful place

The Trojans had won the National Championship nine times prior to Pete Carroll. Now look at how many Trojans have "starred" in the NFL. How about all those Heisman winners? USC is one of the half dozen top programs in college football.

They were average for 20 years in an average Conference. Before Cheating Carroll. And now they are back to being average

OJ is arguibly their greatest player: white womenzer and beater. Neither of those would have flied at the time at a program like Alabama or Penn State. I credit SC for having the athletes to copy & capitalize nationally on what their rivals were doing. But those athletes came cause the campus was and still is a circus. Atleast schools like FSU don't try and portray some holier than thou bull .

SC made a living off beating actual student athletes from schools like Notre Dame and Stanford. Schools with standards

Where in the did you come up with that silly ? The Pac12 an average conference......??????????? no O.J. Simpson wasn't their best player, if ya recall he was a JC (San Francisco City) transfer. Marcus Allen was their best player.

Right now Oregon, UCLA and Stanford are all in the top 15 talk. With USC around 15-17.

No conference has had more great players than the Pac12.

Southern Cal - Year / Record / AP rank / Coaches Rank

    Notice Unranked in 1983, 1985-86, 1991-92, 96-2001

Who showed up in 2001? Dirty ass Pete Carroll

What does that have to do with the then PAC10 conference as a whole? How about bowl wins/ranking as a conference vs the other conferences. You could be 9-3 but have lost to conference foes.

In order to say...The PAC10 conference was only average you'd have to make a case for other conferences being far superior.

    They had no le contenders

    1978 - USC
    1991 - Washington
    2002 - USC

Those are big gaps between. Everyone stopped caring about College Football in California until SC started cheating.

    What about bowl success?

You do know about the old SWC...right? Do you really think there wasn't cheating going on in all of college football? You cannot be that naive.

If we looked at the final rankings in any era you'd see the Pac10 on a par with any other conference.

The big12 having for QBs in the nfl has been noted ad nauseum in this forum. You haven't defined notable either.

Tech- Billy Joe Turnover had a nice NFL career.
    KSt - Josh Freeman
    OkSt - Brandon Weeden
Baylor - Cody Carlson took over as the heir apparent to Moon in the Oiler run n shoot, but injuries cut his career short, iirc.

Even though they didn't do on the field, both Kingsbury and lol Harrell have super bowl rings.

The BIG12/SWC/Big8 is known for running backs.

    Gale Sayers
    Eric erson
    John Riggins
    Earl Campbell
    Billy Sims
    Adrian Peterson
    LaDanian Tomlinson
    Thurman Thomas
    Barry Sanders
    Ricky Williams
    Priest Holmes
    Jamaal Charles
    Joe Washington

coming from schools once/currenty in those conferences. (obviously there is no SWC/Big8 anymore)

What did he ever actually accomplish? Ever hear of Sid Blanks a running back out of Texas A&I? While he did little elsewhere he would be that schools greatest back.

Texas Tech has had a few stud receivers in Dave Parks, Welker and Crabtree, but not much else on the offensive side of the ball.

The offensive scheme definitely helped him but Harrell put in work at Tech. His numbers were pretty good.

    Why change the subject, fetty.

Two O-linemen from Tech protected Peyton for his MVP season this past year.

Timmy Smith should have been the SBMVP instead of Doug Williams, imo.

Bam Morris started for the Steelers in the 96 Super bowl against the Cowboys.

Danny Amendola will be Welker2 if he can ever stay healthy.

as mentioned above, Billy Joe Turnover was a serviceable qb

It's not a long list, but it's a nice list.

Don't ever claim you can school me at Tech football knowledge again, you fat piece of .
