A poor man's Kevin Durant who is a ball hawk and can't play defense and totally disrupts a teams offensive flow when he continues to chuck the ball up after going 6 for 30. If I were Derrick Rose I would be telling coach we don't need him in Chicago. They weren't all that bad when Rose was out. Why bring this instant ball-hog into the equation.
So much of defense is just effort and being engaged.. I love it when guys like Melo get the rep of not being able to play D when they are great athletes.. Of course he can play D he chooses not to because he just wants to get his points basically.. It's sad..

Yeah I mean't to change that to can't/won't play defense because he basically wants to save his energy on scoring.
When He "coax" the Dolan to give Kerr and Fisher $25M, I'd say any players who have options should leave there. I'm not saying Fisher or Kerr would not be a good coach some day. But giving a rookie coach that amount of money, it only shows his inep ude, or nepotism, as a basketball manager. What Kidd and Mark Jackson gets -- BTW, they are much much better players and two of all-time top PGs for the sake of argument -- is the salary that makes sense for the team.
Melo can probably play defense. But playing defense comes at a cost. And Melo's offense is all about him, all the time.
Folks, it's more likely that LeBron will go to the Spurs than Melo, and LeBron ain't ing coming to the Spurs, so...
