Got no idea what Sterling is complaining about. If some er offered me twice what my car is worth, I'd sell it to him in an instant.
He's senile, and he likes to sue people regardless of his chances of winning just because he gets a kick out of it, tbh....

Btw, the judge totally owned his ass in court the other day, saying that there was nothing illegal with the mental health clause, that DTS was a dumbass for signing it in the first place, that DTS might not be able to bring in his doctors to testify, and that "he could decide this case in five minutes"

It's never a good sign for your chances of winning when the judge asks you point-blank why you're even in court

Gallows my ass. He made 2 billion from a team that wasn't worth half that. That's some fancy ass gallows.
So since he's got $2 billion in escrow it's permissable to drag him into the street and lynch him, then leave him swinging from the tree. Just when the are you going to cut him down?

America watches basketball all the time.

They watch soccer once every four years just like swimming, gymnastics, curling, and skiing.
Basketball is below Auto Racing in popularity & barely above Hockey (Which is difficult to find on TV), although it's aired on ESPN & constantly shoved down the throats of viewers

If European soccer aired on ESPN & they committed an entire day to discuss where free agents will sign. You can bet Soccer would be more popular than NBA

Said person would be in my home illegally and die from a blast from my 12-gauge, then the coroner would find said tape erased and inserted into said someone's rectum. Of course, that's not going to happen, because it was YOUR mom I slept with when I was 17.

    Let us proceed...tee hee...

You are overrating the NBA product. It's the off-season sport for a reason. More people care about where free agents sign than 95% of the season + playoffs. The sport doesn't matter for 6 months. How often does a team lower than the 4th or even 3rd seed make the NBA Finals.....or Win.

NBA needs to slim down the regular season, eliminate atleast 4 teams for the product to improve. Too many meaningless games, too many playoff teams and furthermore the Conferences are unbalanced. It's just a ty product at the moment.

The notion that the NBA's popularity is declining is false, tbh..fabrication created by old heads that complain about trivial flaws in today's game..it's probably mostly due to the decline in White Americans, since they aren't good enough to play in a league full of Black and International players..

If you account for market size of the teams involved, the past 4 Finals have generated massive ratings, tbh..it's tough to argue a league is declining in popularity when their Finals' are drawing great numbers..

Basketball is the second biggest sport in the world and is only behind soccer in terms of growth..

Basketball and Soccer would wipe the floor 50 years from now when the world starts to get poorer and poorer..

I have no doubt in my mind when I turn 70, Football and Hockey would be too expensive..Baseball is done.

    Soccer

    Basketball

    some other sport.

Soccer must not have been invented when the colonies were settled. Other wise, people of English and German descent wouldn't hate it.

Infinite_Limit is right that they could easily improve basketball, first by cutting down on the RS. Less is more.

Baseball is another story, not sure where that's going. It seems to have lost a lot of ground considering it used to be the national past time.

Football is enjoyable but not sure how it will fare with all the concussion stuff, which could get worse as more research is done on the brain. If more parents are scared to get their kids involved, then the talent drain will be noticeable.

I like soccer but it's not perfect either. If the NFL goes slightly down in popularity, MLS and NBA will benefit the most imo.

People watch the Heat. They watch the Spurs in the Finals. But do they tune in when the other 28 teams in the League are playing? Do they tune in on a Sunday ABC afternoon? Or a TNT weekday?

    Do people watch the
    - Raptors
    - 76ers
    - Cavs
    - Pistons
    - Bucks
    - Charlotte (How many Americans know Charlotte recently changed mascots? How many know they even changed to Pelicans to begin with?)
    - Hawks
    - Magic

^ No one is tuning into those teams playing on National Television. And that's only the Eastern Conference.

Americans will watch the Jaguars play the Bills. Because it's Football. Games actually matter and players truly try. It's a really bad sign when the NBA is giving away free tickets Why can’t NBA teams fill arenas, even after giving away free tickets?

When the Americans are eliminated in the world cup it will drop off the the sports radar in a flash. NFL training
camps and fantasy football leagues will be the focus then.......

Of course the NBA isn't anywhere near the NFL, that's never going to change..

Fans not watching ty teams isn't any different in baseball or hockey, though..football is on another level..

And I agree that the NBA needs to eliminate some teams..
