what is this reported cap space you are talking about?
Its Broussard so that's your source but interesting nonetheless
In a radio appearance, Chris Broussard reported that the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks could agree upon a sign-and-trade of Carmelo Anthony for James Harden.
The Rockets could then sign LeBron James with their cap space to create a Big 3 with Anthony and Dwight Howard.
James and Anthony have reported interest in playing together.
what is this reported cap space you are talking about?
Seriously![]()
It's called unloading Lin and Asik plus some other scrubs. Doubt it happens but you still gotta try when you have a chance to get the best player in the game.
oh. i hadn't heard of that idea before. especially not all of last year
Asik is value, lin you would have to package a pick plus cash at the bare minimum
So all they have do is:
1. Make Lin's contract disappear.
2. Make Asik's contract disappear.
3. Get Melo to sign for less than the max. (on a team that pays Howard the max)
4. Get James to sign for less than the max. (on a team that pays Howard the max)
That's quite a parlay right there.
No one's saying that will happen. Every team is trying to what they can to land James and rightfully so.
Just look at who the reported it? Chris Broussard?![]()
It's the same thing every summer with the Rox, chasing their white whale. Meanwhile, they've won one playoff series in 17 years. Maybe it's time for a different approach.
with no regard
Each year is progress, 2012 James Harden, 2013 Dwight Howard, 2014? Quit hatin...
Not hatin', just observin'. With bemusement.
Lets trade for an older chucker who doesn't play defense for our younger chucker who doesn't play defense.
Melo and LeBron would be devastating on the offensive end wherever they go. both are basically small-ball 4's who can hit the 3 but also abuse any smaller defender down low. the spurs for instance would have to put diaw on one and leonard on the other.
Maybe by 2015 y'all can fire McHale and then by 2016 move out of that humid hole.
I'd laugh at the Rockets but I nary have the room to talk...
Wouldnt stop me from laughing, but I do think in the short-term that is a "win" for Rox.
60%+ TS% isn't chucking.
Harden is definitely not a chucker.
how does TS% determine whether a player is a chucker or not?
